Hm, my friend and I have had subscription tickets for months, so I'm not sure how that makes sense.

It was member tickets, not subscription tickets, for those who didn't subscribe to the series.

Sounds like the person at the BO had no idea what they were talking about then!

I've been a subscriber at the KC for several years. I don't believe there has been a separate subscription for the Broadway Center Stage productions. If you are a "Theatre Subscriber" you were given an option to add those shows as part of your regular season subscription at any time before they go on sale to the general public. Subscribers generally has the first shot at purchasing tickets, then the "Members" and then general public. I could probably call the subscription office today, as a season "Theatre Subscriber", and reserve tickets.

I didn't know the specifics, just that "subscription tickets" and "member tickets" are 2 separate things, which you just reiterated. It's the same with Carnegie Hall, for instance. I picked 4 concerts in a subscription and got my seat assignments long before the member sale.
