I don't know if this has been discussed here (probably because everything has)...what about Kristen as LBB's replacement when the time comes? She can sing, I'm sure she can dance and she is a great comedic actress. She could do the show and the role justice.
Thoughts?
Personally i'd love to see Annaleigh Ashford take over after LBB leaves.
Kristen can sing?
She's an amazing actress, idk if she'd like Legally Blonde, but she is great at Veronica Mars!

That would be great casting!
I'd either want her or Jennifer Hughes to be the replacement. Jennifer actually had many callbacks when they were first casting the role.
Oh man...I have a major crush on Kristen (as do most of my friends, male OR female). I would love to see her in this role. I think she could infuse way more personality into Elle than Laura can.

She'd be good, I think. I'd rather see Annaleigh take over, though. Bet you anything Ashley Spencer becomes the next Elle.

My friend told me that they asked her to play the role originally, but she declined. I'm not sure if that was because of Veronica Mars, or for other reasons.
And, yes, she has a great singing voice.

She does have a great voice and I think she would be fantastic.
Didn't they want her for Xanadu?

Kristen wasn't offered Elle in "Legally Blonde", but she has had to turn down potential involvement in several theatrical projects over the past few years (including "Xanadu") because of her commitment to "Veronica Mars", which has unfortunately since been canceled.
LOVED Kristen in Reefer Madness, I think she would be greate as Elle...

somethingwicked: Ah, so I heard wrong! Thanks for the info.
Man, why didn't they offer it to her, then? They should try to get her to replace LBB, for sure!
I would love to see annaleigh ashford as elle woods when laura leaves. She will great elle woods.
YES!!! Oh that would make me sooo happy! She needs to do something on broadway, because I'm one on the many that is suffering from Veronica Mars withdrawal. She would be wonderful in the role.

Annaleigh def deserves it and has the attitude and spunk to be elle woods. I read that she did "so much better" at two events when laura could not go bc they had two things at once or something. Annaleigh got a huge hand after the song from the crowd....you can hear the last 22 seconds of her on youtube.
GO ANNALEIGH!!!!!
Yeah, Annaleigh will most likely get it after LAura leaves.

That's cool, too; I thought that she'd make a great Elle.
That is a brilliant idea, I adore her and there's no doubt she'd be awesome as usual(she'd also be a great Galinda too)
annaleigh actually did play glinda on the wicked tour.

Me too!
I would love to see Kristen as Elle!
She would be fantastic!
Kristen as Elle would be the one thing that would get me to see Legally Blonde. I mean, it's good music, but the show itself just doesn't draw me that much... But with Kristen, I would give anything to see it. That girl is the personification of triple threat. I believe she was in a production of Fosse, if I'm not mistaken.

As long as Becky Gulsvig (the other Elle understudy) doesn't get it, I'm fine. I don't mind a nasal character voice, but her voice as Amber in Hairspray was so incredibly grating.
Oh, and I do love Annaleigh Ashford.
Personally, I think Kristen is far too clever an actress to take a role in such a fluffy show. No offense towards the show, since I am in no position to judge it, but I feel like she needs a role in a project with more bite.
Annaleigh was a very disappointing. No hint of comic timing whatsoever. I'd be interested in seeing her go on as Elle, though.
Side note, I ran into Kristen Bell in Starbucks on Saturday and she could have not been a nicer person.
