I was dying last night when I saw it!! The part about 'Mac' and 'Beth' was priceless! As was her "directions" to the actors! If you haven't watched it yet, I recommend doing so lol, it's a good laugh!

i didnt find it funny, didnt think the impersonation was very good, and didnt think it was very well written.

i found it too soft. too apologetic. didnt go for the jugular enough. not enuf brutal characterisation of the sanctimonious, self importan auteur type of artist.

I agree, willheim. It was mildly diverting at best.

And what was the adjective he used to describe "Across the Universe" and "The Tempest"? Was it "amazing"? oh el oh el

I don't think the writers or the majority of the SNL audience know or care enough to have made it a better parody with more direct jabs.
Dean: Can I tell you something? Lorraine: That depends on what it is. Dean: I think you're really really pretty. Lorraine: (after a pause) Ok, you can tell me that.
