I was dying last night when I saw it!! The part about 'Mac' and 'Beth' was priceless! As was her "directions" to the actors! If you haven't watched it yet, I recommend doing so lol, it's a good laugh!
It was hilarious! I really loved the Our Town bit with the jet packs.
Her "Rise Above" had me laughing my ass off!!

Just think how much fun Forbidden Broadway would have had with Spidey!
To the nimrods above who love to mention and discuss things without even bothering to provide a link to WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT...
Here is a link to last night's (Saturday March 12, 2011) SNL Weekend Update Julie Taymor bit: https://www.hulu.com/watch/223359/saturday-night-live-weekend-update-julie-taymor#s-p1-sr-i3
You're welcome, America!
i didnt find it funny, didnt think the impersonation was very good, and didnt think it was very well written.
i found it too soft. too apologetic. didnt go for the jugular enough. not enuf brutal characterisation of the sanctimonious, self importan auteur type of artist.
I agree, willheim. It was mildly diverting at best.
And what was the adjective he used to describe "Across the Universe" and "The Tempest"? Was it "amazing"? oh el oh el

I have no link for this. I am sorry.
I don't think the writers or the majority of the SNL audience know or care enough to have made it a better parody with more direct jabs.
