"Fatso" was a little awkward, but so funny.
"Glitter and Be Gay" was a major highlight for me.
"A Ride Home" made me cry.
"Spread a Litte Joy" was fun, and we got to sing along!

"Fatso" was OK, compared to the rest of the numbers, which were amazing !!! "Glitter and be Gay" and "14G" were my faves, and "Borrowed Angels" was beautiful !!!

What was the song from Betty Boop? I would love to hear it, does anyone have a clip or know if it is on one of her CDs or something? I wish I could have gone it sounds like so much fun!!!!
Oh and one last question (sorry

And one of the most important ladies in her life was there last night too!
Florence Birdwell..her voice teacher for six yars at Oklahoma City University. Or, as Kristen says, "the lady who taught me how to sing".

Wow, sounds terrific! She's so great, vocally and theatrically. What's this "Fatso" song everyone keeps mentioning?

I was 3 rows behind Rosie, and I will say that she was extremely nice to me. Also Joel Grey was really nice also. I also met Kristin's mom and dad, who were very nice. Kristin was out of this world good. I can't even describe it. Everything she did was amazing.

Could you maybe remove a few "Os" there, FosseBoi? You're expanding the window. :P
Anyway, from what everyone is saying, I can't believe no one removed that screaming guy. But I am glad it didn't interfere with the enjoyment of the concert too much. That is one talented lady.

I'm so sorry I just had to clap and scream through the whole thing I spent all my med and drug money on the ticket and I really wanted her to notice me plus a few of those big ole gay celebs up front there and the ushers were really ugly I was hoping for that cute one on the left back isle but he just ignored me but she sang so good I just felt the lord telling me to clap my little ole heart out for this woman why she could become the judy garland for our children and deserved every little clap and shout i could give and as soon as bush sends me my monthly check I'll be back on those pretty pills and behave myself

Yeah, she was pretty darn terrific. Can't beliieve I'm only JUST posting this, but...
Highlights: the Kern medley ("Why Was I Born" being one of my favorite songs ever - and it is rarely performed) was absolutely breathtaking. The woman NEEDS to record this on album #2. "Girl in 14 G" (a real tour de force), "Glitter and Be Gay", the song to her father (very warm and emotional) "Till There Was You" (the final encore... Barry, my friend I went with thought that it should have been "Glitter" which would have really ended the concert with a bang)...and "Hard Times".
A fair amount of this concert I had previously heard at her John Jay concert of two years ago. I enjoyed her delightful "Taylor" even having hearing it a bit of a lot recently, but I think she (and everybody else) needs to give "If" a rest. Dolores Gray's version remains definitive and untoppable, and every other version I've heard doesn't come close to it. And yes, that includes Kristins (ducking flying objects)!
I was kinda underwhelmed by the newer material, though I did like the Lippa songs, the 'special material' opening number and 'Spread a Little Joy'. Wasn't wild about the Diane Warren song 'Borrowed Angels' which seemd like a pale David Friedman rip-off, and 'Fatso' was practically a non-song (really weak in every part). And "Boy" (which wasn't bad) seems like Kristin' bid for a power-ballad hit single. And why not - the gal is playing her cards very shrewedly these days, and it wouldn't surprise me if Kristin isn't also dangling to catch bigger fish very soon.
"Look at the audience", noted Barry... "Mostly young girls. A GREAT demographic for Kristin!"

I have to disagree (respectfully) about there being mostly young girls. We thought the crowd was quite a mix, actually. Singles, couples, older folk... families.
