I actually just read on www.kristinchenoweth.com that she was going to be starring in a few movie musicals...one called Asphalt Beach, written and directed by Peter Spears, where she plays the lead, a spoiled rich girl. The other one is Disney's animated movie musical Rapunzel, with Jeanine Tesori composing (she's the one who composed "Girl in 14G).

I don't know how recent this information is, but it's after they say that she had recently starred in Wicked, so it's gotta be somewhat recent...

i heard a report that she was going to do Young Frankenstein and then another saying she'd star in Legally Blonde the Musical. Are any of these true? She'd be GREAT in Legally Blonde...i just don't know if Legally Blonde would be any good.

I really hope Young Frankenstein makes it to Broadway. It's such a funny movie and they could do so much with it on stage.

All of that is just rumor, and she's getting a bit long in the tooth for Legally Blonde. Especially when there are so many fabulous women who are age appropriate.

Besides, she really needs to break out of the mold or she is going to be type cast for the rest of her career, which wouldn't be too much longer as she is getting too old for most of those types of roles.

She is NOT doing Legally Blonde- the show has already been cast and Laura Bell Bundy is going to play Elle. Right now she is filming a Christmas movie in Canada.

She will be returning next year in Pirates of Penzance, unless something comes up.
