Anthony, I'm tickled you know who Gloria Jean is! Not a lot of people do! 
You are NOT alone is your feelings about her. I know a few people who cannot stand her perkiness and also think she lacks 'heart'.
Even though I disagree with those statements, I do know where you are coming from.
