It's okay...There just jealous of her! I hate when people make rude comments about someone they don't even know! They just ASSUME things...it's so wrong

No, I don't think so at all. I admit that I'm probably v. biased because I'm a fan of Kristin but I really don't think she's overrated at all, not in the least bit. I think she's a good quality performer that has worked hard to get where she is now. Just my 2 cents =)

I agree with everything said so far. Kristin is irresistable. Her personality is to die for on stage. Her vocal range is fantastic- I enjoy listening to her sing anything.
As said, she is a good quality performing and worth paying for.

And what about her cd? Can anyone else sing the song 14G like she can? I don't think so.

I like Kristin Chenoweth. I'm not her biggest fan and I thought she was horrible in The Music Man television movie (as was all of it) but I would never refer to her as overrated.

Readers of this thread really should check out the ongoing debate at the WICKED CD postings. All about La C.
I wouldn't blame her for MUSIC MAN. The whole enterprise was labored and heavy-handed. Her lack of chemistry with Broderick -- he just plain goofy and asexual, she about as desperate and spinsterish as a turn of the century legal blonde -- didn't cut it.

I don't think she's overrated, but they give her a lot of the credit that Idina deserves. Kristin is what everyone talks about with Wicked, but Idina is amazing as well.

She is perfect in Wicked. Not crazy about her CD, but she is extremely talented.

I agree with everyone except Bernadette88. They are not being rude, they are stateing THEIR (spelled that wrong) opinion just like you did when you said the comment was rude. That was your opinion because I didn't think it was rude and I love Kristen.

From what I have seen Kristin in, her singing voice is beautiful, really top notch, but she sounds like she just finished sucking on helium when she speaks, and its's incredibly distracting.

That's is her real voice, nothing you can do about that. She may have added a little bit more helium sound for Glinda.

I'm a big Kristin fan and think it's a tossup between her and Idina for the Tony, both are equally great. Can we have a tie?:P

I think Kristin deserves all the praise she gets! She is very talented. I had the honor of having her guest teach a theatre class of mine in college. She is such a great lady!

"Since I won't dignify that "other" thread about Chenoweths overrated-ness"....
I guess the original person who thought Kristin was overrated has taken back what she said but does not want to "dignify" this "other thread" because she sees that she is wrong. We all know that Kristin is not a household name or a superstar. Nevertheless, she is very talented and is very deserving of the praise she has gotten.

Like I said, you have to have a certain level of maturity to *comprehend* sarcasm and wit. Quite obviously, you missed both of those things in my post on the other thread.

One thing you got to learn if you are gonna post here: some people (one being Al Dente) love to fill their posts with sarcasm. I used to hate Al because he seemed so nasty (sometimes still is...love ya!), but now I just laugh because he is just being humorous.

I do have the capabilty to *comprehend* both sarcasm and wit. However, I very rarely find either of those componets in the posts made by Al Dente. I see that Al has decided to grace this thread with his presence which thrills me to no end despite my level of maturity.

I don't think Kristin is at all overrated. She is extreme;y talenetd and that is something tahts eems to be lacking on Broadway these days. Ther really are very few with her level of talent getting any work lately.
I also agree with teh statement about her version of the Woman in 14G (that may not be the exact title, I know). The way she switches styles flawlessly through that song is fantastic. Someone once told me that they had herad it was editted to make the style jumps appear to happen quicker on the Cd. I did hear her perform the song live and that isn't the case at all.

I spoke to one of my friends in the show and apparently Sony Classic (whom she has her solo album) refused to let her promote another CD, i.e. Wicked.. so she was not allowed to participate in the cd signing.
Call it a regime change...

I didn't find her amusing at all in Wicked..well, a few lines maybe. She does have a lovely voice but I don't think she's anything amazing.
