You should have thought a little longer, as someone else said, an April Fool's joke is something that should be remotely believable. Does anyone actually think Kristin and Idina would decide to be like the 500th Velma and Roxie in Chicago instead of taking roles in an all new show they could make their own.

The Producers will have closed by next April 1st but you could have gone with Kristin and Idina to play Bialystock and Bloom on Broadway and it would have fooled more people.

Since when is performing in the longest running and most successful revival in history considered career suicide? Many people are grateful for the chance to perform in any show. Debra Monk pre Curtains - performed in CHICAGO as Mama Morton. And at the stage door she would tell fans she was so grateful to be performing in this, because it was the first hit show she has been in.

PS. Chenoweth and Menzel should feel honored to have the chance to play roles created by Broadway legends like Gwen Verdon and Chita Rivera. They certainly wish they were on the level as Verdon and Rivera.

You know, come to think of it, Kristin and Idina would definitely fit the voices of Roxie and Velma. Idina would probably do a killer "All That Jazz" (especially at the end).

But as far as dancing goes, that's another story.
