A friend texted me and told me he heard Krysta was out and the show started around 25 minutes late. Does anyone know what happened or if she'll be back tomorrow? I was hoping to catch the matinee but wanted to see her.
I'll be interested to hear what happened.
Jordan, just so you know, they don't do a Wednesday matinee.
Oh lol. Well I guess I won't be getting there early to rush it!!
I was there tonight. Can attest first-hand. Krysta *was* indeed out tonight. No, the show didn't start twenty-five minutes late, that's a slight exaggeration. Maybe 10, 15 tops. Nothing noticeable, as audience members were still filing in. Not sure *what* happened, but I imagine it was last-minute.
In OTHER news, Vicki Noon - in what I imagine, was her first time going on as 'Casey' - was absolutely wonderful!
It was my first time seeing the show, and I was so happy to have had the pleasure of being present and accountable for such "special" night at the Longacre. I do hope everything is alright with Krysta, though.
Full review to come later.

I'd like to hear someone else's take on the songs.
And I imagine the people thought the show started at 8pm. Tuesdays are always confusing to tourists.

I was there last night, too, taking advantage of the $18.50 balcony ticket via Broadway 2-for-1 week. The show started 15 minutes late, with no slip of paper in the Playbill announcing Krysta's non-appearance. I learned early today that she was in the building but was suddenly taken ill. So I assume the late curtain was owing to more rehearsal time for Vicki Noon, Krysta's standby. She was fine, by the way.
I went largely because of the all the hoopla about Zachary Levi's performance. He was charming but perhaps indulged in a little too much quirky shtick, at least for my taste. The score is largely unmemorable except for Levi's nicely done self-realization 11 o'clock number, "In Love with You." I don't think the overall quality of the show will merit its lasting beyond early winter.
Krysta is a true pro at young age, im sure it mustve been a bad case of food poisoning for her to miss even a minute. Back Stage food sometimes sits around too long.
