This doesn't mean Michelle is sick. Sometime producers intentionally give the performer a night off so they can see the understudy perform...and since Krysta hasn't gone on as Wendla yet...this could be the case.

In a day and age when performers seem to call out every other day, it's wonderful to see someone (especially a young performer) with a great work ethic, who can go for five months (and three months off-Broadway) and only just now miss their first performance. Brava to her.

At an audition one time, she was going in right after me and we were talking a little bit. During our conversation, she mentioned that she was doing Good Vibrations and it had just closed. I told her I was sorry to hear that and kept thinking in the back of my mind, 'It won't be long before YOU'RE working again.' And I hadn't even heard her sing a note yet.
She's BEAUTIFUL.

Maybe this has been posted alreay, but just in case:
Lea is taking a vacation from Sunday to Weds. of this next week (4/8-11) and Krysta will be going on as Wendla for each performance. So if you're looking for a way to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior...
Just thought y'all would like to know. I will doubtlessly be there at some point. She's great.
