"Kyra DaCosta and Janine LaManna will replace Solange Sandy and Natascia Diaz, respectively, in the Broadway-bound revival of Sweet Charity. The two new actresses will begin performances as Nickie and Helen, cohorts of Christina Applegate's Charity, when the production begins its final pre-Broadway stop in Boston on March 18" - Broadway.com

...why are Sandy and Diaz leaving? I thought they were great when I saw the show.

There was no mention of Solange Sandy in it, though, which makes me wonder what exactly is happening.

I have no doubt about what is happening... The person who wrote that blind item probably just didn't know about Solange.
And poor Solange actually! She has gotten better reviews than anyone this whole time!

Wow...that is awful. I thought both Solange and Diaz were wonderful in their roles.
All these people bringing up issues of the show being in trouble...I never felt that way when I saw it.
Terrible.

Keep in mind..maybe something else came up and they couldn't do it..possibly it was their choice.
I'm with Princeton. I hope things work out...but it doesn't seem to be going too smoothly.

Posted: 3/13/05 at 10:53pmi'm so confused. i didn't think the show was in trouble. it was receiving many mixed to positive notices, and the reviews for solange and natascia were really good. so why this move? i mean there was obviously no control over christina breaking her foot. i'm sure that will recover fine and she'll come to broadway and i hope turn a lot of heads. but what i don't get is this replacement.

Saw the show yesterday and thought these two and O'Hare were the best things (by far!) in the show. I cannot understand this happening.

Posted: 3/13/05 at 11:13pmI was looking very foward to this show but, it was cursed from day one... Everything happening with The Weissler's,Neil Simon and Wife and the company..I just find this injury rather odd even though it happened on stage coming at the same exact time as cast being let go. It doesn't add up. Perhaps Applegate fell herself to bow out so she wouldn't be around to be let go? I really hope she comes back but,who knows if it will come to NY at this rate :o(
