If you saw TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE, you'll know what this is in reference to. Any thoughts on this mockery? LOL!!! Btw, was that supposed to be Brian Stokes Mitchell in the audience?
LOVED the parody!!!
That song was freaking hysterical too.

It's nice that a theater actor got to save the world.
I LOVED that movie, especially the musical theater references. Trey Parker is a genius.
I thought it was funny as all hell. Crass, but I was crying with laughter!
I thought it was hysterical...but even funnier was half the audience not knowing what the hell was going on. And the Cats story was hilarious!
Ohmigod, I laughed so hard I cried!
Yes, the movie was so crass...and that three types of people speech was classic...but yes, I will never look at Mr. Mistopheles the same way ever again :P
It's nice to know that Broadway is important enough in pop culture to merit a brief appearance in a Parker/Stone movie.
I can't believe how spot-on the costumes were! That was by FAR my favorite scene. "Aids Aids Aids Aids Aids! Everyone has Aids!"
well, speaking as a co-writer of that moment:
as we were writing it I said "I feel so guilty, I should just put up a list of all my friends who have dies of AIDS to complete the guilt"
then the music editor witnessing the birth of this song said "Um, I'm sure they'd be the ones laughing the hardest"
he was right
plus, I am the voice of the black girl riffing!
Wait is this a movie? If I were to rent it what section would it be under? I'm very curious now...
it's a puppet movie out in theaters right now Glory, i cant wait to see it!

Hey, considering the first South Park movie was an hommage to stage and movie musicals.....
It was pure genius! Marc I loved your riff. Bummer, I didn't notice Stokes in the puppet audience, maybe I should go a second time?
Just to be clear, the name of the movie is "Team America: World Police," in case anyone has been looking for a movie called "Lease, the Musical." : )

I loved that. So much.
The best part of the movie for me was when they started the New York sequence with the shot of TKTS... I went, "Oh my God!" and started giggling...and my friends pretended not to know me.
