I was there tonight. It was my first time seeing the show. I was fairly disappointed with the production but loved the performances. I think that for someone who doesn't know anything about John Lennon (like me), there are a lot of loose ends. A lot of the things in this show are things that they assume the audience already knows so they get right to the point. Like when Terrence plays those television hosts, I had no idea who the people he were playing were, so that was a dull moment. The best part of the show I thought was Marcy. Her big song in act two was marvelous. I saw someone in a box seat give her a standing ovation after it which I thought was sweet. There were no speeches at the end of the show. Everyone came out the stage door, and Julia was limping because she tore something in her leg I believe (I later saw Julie Danao-Salkin walking her down the street and helped her get into a cab which I thought was really sweet.)
oh no poor julia! i hope she's ok!
how did you think mandy was??
Yay julia! I was got nervous when she didn't come out for the cheerleading bit, and got even MORE nervous when she didn't show up at the Party - Marcy stepped up and became the girl who went to get her coat. I was almost expecting Nicole to come out but then Julia came limping onstage.

There he is! *sigh*
isn't that pose great!!
i feel like i'm there! ...i wish i was.
::cries because she'll never see lennon again::
Mandy's so funny. She was really giggly during "India, India" the first time I saw it -- like, more giggly than she should be. I couldn't figure out why, but it was so cute.
There's one bit in the song when they get back together (mental block!) where Will is down on his knees, holding Julie around her hips, and I swear it's the same blocking as Elaborate Lives was. So that, plus the fact that it's Will (Julie did Aida, too, actually), I was all warm and fuzzy at that point.
oh yeah. it's during "i'm losing you" i think. well actually that's chad and julie.
but mandy was in AIDA too!! i wish i saw her. i can just imagine how awesome her amneris would be.
this is from the san francisco opening night.
Julia looks great in this one!
as does everyone!
