LENNON (8/14 - 9/24) LOVE

I know that there are already a couple Lennon threads, but I decided to start one to combine them all together. So, because of the success of the All Shook Up Plea, I'm going to follow in BSoBW2's footsteps...

So, please, do not wait to see Lennon the Musical

It is one of the most heartfelt and positive shows on Broadway.

It will leave you with a desire to get up and protest for peace and love and positivity.

If you like John Lennon, peace, and love, GO SEE LENNON THE MUSICAL!

I know that this show has gotten some of the worst reviews from the critics, but most of the personal reviews on this board have been extremely positive!

I've seen this show twice, and I'm going again next weekend.

Please, if you are in NYC (and you've already seen all shook up, or you don't have enough money for that...) GO SEE LENNON!!

Give peace a chance by giving Lennon the Musical a chance.

YES is the answer.

p.s. they have $26 front row student tickets! they also have great discounts for non-students on their

website

re: LENNON Plea

Or you will leave with the urge to protest Yoko Ono.

Either is fine by me.

re: LENNON Plea

I think it will take a lot more then some fans on BWW, to keep Lennon and ASU open.

But you guys really are dedicated fans, it's good these shows have fans like you guys.

re: LENNON Plea

why thank you ljay. i know that just because people post on a message board, that doesn't gaurantee that a show stays open...there's a lot more business that goes into it. but at least this is something! and it's also a free way to spread the word.

please go see lennon. people read one review about it and their minds are automatically closed off. just give it a chance. it will probably surprise you.

re: LENNON Plea

I heart Lennon.

And I am also head over heels for Ms. Murney. NO SHAME.

thanks emcee!!

i heart the entire cast. words can not describe my love for them. each one is a dedicated and gifted performer. they do an amazing job every night...even with their minimally sized audiences.

re: LENNON Plea

Don't make a thread and limit it to comments that echo yours.

Geez.

Read a John Lennon bio not written with Ono's blessing and see if the facts match up.

re: LENNON Plea

if you are beatles obsessive, or against yoko ono, there are still things to relate to in this show. the issuses that faced john lennon in his era are very relevant to today. i.e. war... and giving peace a chance.
i hope those bitter against yoko, can see past that. the musical is really just a plea for peace and love and non-violence. i'd hope that most people can find an ideal to relate with.

re: LENNON Plea

this show is great, and so is it's cast; ESPECIALLY it's cast. It's 9 of the most talented people on broadway. go see it!

and PS: tonight at 10:30pm at Don't Tell Mama's, Lennon's Will Chase and Darin Murphy (a swing) will be performing their own music (I think), so go check it out!! I will be there.

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!
