LION KING DVD - Wow!

I got my DVD a day early, yippee!

They have a full section devoted to the Broadway show. It is AMAZING! Some of the best documentaries Disney has done. I wish they would have done this for BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

They have five documentaries on the Broadway show, one for Stage To Screen, one about the music, another for the stage design, and others.

It was very neat to see the "inside" of the puppets and to hear about the original concept.

Another thing I noticed was some scenes that I have seen before, meaning that they were either cut or re-staged for the Broadway run. That was neat!

I wish they would have given us more, show us a scene, give us the Tony performance!

I ordered the DVD but have yet to get it. I'm glad it's good yay!

They mention the lighting briefly during one of the documentaries on the sets.

Topics covered for the most part were the original concepts, from screen to stage, the puppets and costumes, and the music.

The "Morning Report" scene added to the animated movie was unneeded. If they would have added "Shadowland" or "They Live In You" I think it would have improved the film. Oh well, that's Disney for you.

That is the song they added? The same arrangment as on Bway?
