Are they not rushing in the summer? If they are, what is the policy? It's not on the Talkin Broadway rush policy site.
I don't think they've changed it - my roommate from last year went over there this summer (last month?) and it wasn't different. Tues - Thurs performances only. 26.50. What's available
I went on a Saturday and they had a couple of rush tickets. I didn't get them because there were already a bunch of people in line, but the Tuesday-Thursday only thing is a lie.

I was wondering... what exactly is a "rush"?
I'm pretty sure they don't really have a set policy. They'll sell tickets if they have them available - and I think it also depends on who's at the box office. I went last month when the show was nearly sold out. It was probably 3pm for a 7pm show and I got a ticket at the back of the orchestra off to the side for $30 with my student ID. If you want to see it and can chance it, just go to the box office and see what they say day-of.

When I asked at the box office a couple of weeks ago, the guy told me that they potentially have them every day, but if the show is sold out they won't have them. In other words, they're certainly not Tuesday-Thursday only, but they don't ever reserve a block of tickets for rush. As mentioned above, they're $30, but the guy told me one per ID.

Does anyone know how many tickets they give out per ID?
It is 2 per ID last I checked. And, they don't have an area of seats set aside for student rush tickets. They just sell whatever they have. I know that there have been some performances where the show is sold out. Therefor, they don't have rush.
It's one ticket per ID. All the times I've rushed I've had front row center seats.
I think that is just stroke of luck in terms of you getting front center. The times I have done it I was in the middle/side of the orchestra.
I remember Little Mermaid being 1 per ID when I rushed back in May.
Front row sucks. The stage was so high that a lot got cut off for me. It was a really weird angle to look at things. I think I'd prefer middle/side orchestra for this one. I think they were doing the front row thing for a while, but it probably changes from time to time.
I got last row orch center when I rushed. Pretty decent seats actually that gave you a good overall view of the stage. I got 'em on a Friday, at about 12:30 pm for a 8 pm show a couple of weeks ago. Box office told me it was one per ID (my friend and I both have ID, so it wasn't an issue). I did try the day before on Thurs, but they weren't doing rush, so it depends on the day (plus the guy at the box office was much nicer than the woman who turned me down on a Thurs).
I think it depends on who is manning the window.
There is a red-headed woman at the box office that is nothing but nasty.
Agreed, she is nasty.
Ya know lady? Your show got mediocre reviews and is not consistently selling out. There's also a discount available beginning in September. In other words, your show ain't that big of a hit, so get over it and stop treating people who actually want to see the show like crap(Maybe she's related to that old crab over at the Booth).
Now that I got that out of my system, when I tried again the next day, a very nice young man sold my sister a student rush ticket in the front row. This was for a Friday evening, and we showed up at the box office at about 10 past 10.
Oh she was nasty during BatB as well. I was waiting to pick up tickets once and she got so fed up with the guy at the window who was trying to explain the credit card he used to purchase the tickets had been stolen and he HAD called ticketmaster about it she actually walked away and left him there all confused. Finally someone else came to the window and graciously helped him, even picking up the phone herself to make a call that solved the whole thing in less than a minute. She then very nicely and politely helped the rest of us in line.
If I have to do anything at that box office, I will do all I can to avoid her. She is evil. It's a guarantee that they won't have rush if she's at the window. She wouldn't sell SRO for sold out BatB shows either. (That one from personal experience. They had the sold out sign up and I was the second person in line so it should have been available. And yes I'm tall enough for it at the Lunt. My friend who isn't didn't know the height of the wall once and the red haired witch just looked at her and went "Why bother? You'd never see anything anyway." There are nicer ways of saying you're not tall enough.)
I did get the red-haired woman and she was rather unpleasant. I talked with a very nice guy on a Wed, who told me he had sold all available rush seats for that day (this was at about 1:15 pm), but that I should try either the next day or the weekend, as they have been selling most days. He was very helpful and he also told me it was 1 ticket per ID.
When I got my ticket on the Friday, it was a different, but equally nice guy at the box office. At first, he said my friend and I would not be seated together, but when the tickets printed we were in fact sitting together.
Rush is definitely one per id and it seems to me they give out whatever they have left. I've seen people get front row and I've seen people get tickets in the mezz. I also thought it was only available Tuesday-Thursday but this may have changed. Either way they seem to sell out pretty fast.
I have to worst luck - I got there when the B.O. opened yesterday (saturday) and there were no student rush tix for the matinee and no SRO available either. yuck.
Agree 100 times about the red haired lady. She is the most unpleasant box office person I've ever come in contact with. Doesn't she want the show to sell as many tickets as it can? I don't even bother if I see her working at the window.
There was a very nice man at the box office last time I went. I wish I remembered what he looked like.
Glad I'm not the only one who had trouble with that red-headed lady.
I had a very pleasant experience there with a heavyset gentleman a couple of months ago.
she is so rude. Can we file a complaint?
Hopefully Disney or whoever is in charge will read this. She certainly does not project the Disney image.
can one person buy two tickets with two different IDs?
