So my friends and I are trying to decide between seeing La Cage or Next Fall. Any opinions? Thanks in advance!
Never miss a chance to see La Cage! Kelsey Grammer and Douglas Hodge are phenomenal!
I see about one straight play for every 8-9 musicals, so clearly I prefer the musicals. If you had asked me before I saw each play which I would prefer to see, I would have easily answered, La Cage. However, after seeing them both, I would say empahtically to see Next Fall. I most enjoy an emotional experience, and Next Fall delivers that for me. La Cage, and all of the accolades that have been piled on it, left me wanting to be moved. Instead, I just laughed, a bit. But not very much at all.
I think La Cage is going to last longer than Next Fall, so you should see Next Fall now because let's face it, it probably won't make it until (forgive the pun) next fall. Make Fall your priority, and maybe try and rush La Cage?

I very seldomly post on these boards, but I feel compelled to to tell you to see Next Fall. It is one of the most heartfelt theater experiences I've ever had. Guts over glamour, anyday.
Well...I'd say neither. But if you have to see one of those, Next Fall I suppose.
