I have to say, looking at the pictures of the other thread of what the Casino will look like, it looks bloody cheap and horrible. Id expect something a bit classier and plush for a central West End casino

Also just had another look - An airport lounge or a Pontins holiday camp in the 1980's!

I've seen tupperware with more style and design credability.

Such a shame.

Any chance of La Clique transferring to another venue? Not that I can think of anywhere suitable.

It'll be such a shame to lose the Hippodrome AND this gem of a show.

The casino venture has had its plans all drawn up since the middle of last year with a building start date of 2009/10 already planned. They have even finished the cleaning of the exterior- it looks gorgeous!.
'La Clique' only appeared in December and is now well into its very successful extended season.
It should have closed the first week back in Feb! They always knew they were going and to be able to extend like this is a great credit to them.
Shame they cant keep it going.

I was at La Clique tonight and the host said at the end something along the lines of "don't believe the rumours, we've set up home in the London Hippodrome and we'll be here for a very long time to come".

Hmmmmm.
