LaChanze now starring on One Life to Live

...and she is excellent!! So happy to see her on TV.

Starring is putting it mildly, but I would love if they tried to keep her on the show till it ends in Jan. Creatively right now the show is a mess (I only watch All My Children and OLTL and it seems just as one starts to get a lot better, like AMC now is, the other falls into a mess of directionless plots--and in the case of OLTL too much camp). But it was *great* seeing her, and I admit I didn't recognize her at first either--partly because the only time I met her was when she did Ragtime in Vancouver, and otherwise I've seen clips of her in Once on this Island and Company--all 90s roles and she certainly and understandably has matured since then--which is not to say she didn't look fabulous. One Life has hired a lot of less than great actors lately, so it's nice to see someone whoowns the part right from her first episode.

Baz seems decent, especially compared to most of the younger cast they've had on recently (I include the nefarious Ford Bros in that). I admit it seems to be coming together, though the Todd story still seems a mess to me--OLTL under the current writer Carlivati usually has great weeks where the stories all come together and between that it feels like a mess--at least to me. ANd it's kinda annoying the canvas is so stuffed with characters like Deana or that porn guy played by Peck (who I always forget about and then he has a random scene) when we won't see Dorian again (I know she left for her own health reasons, but), and Echo still seems locked in the MinuteMan hotel.
