Is this the same Richard White, who voiced Gaston in 'Beauty and the Beast'? I remember when the 3D re-release of 'Beauty and the Beast' was released, there was a "Where are they now" article for the actors from the film and it said that he has not had much going on after the film except for reprising the voice of Gaston on some episodes of 'House of Mouse'.

Of all Wildhorn musicals I love Jekyll & Hyde the most but I am seriously not even amused that this is returning.
Richard White was a constant in New York City Opera during the 80's and 90's. He mainly did their operettas and musicals. I fell in lust with him in "The New Moon". He was also excellent in Brigadoon, South Pacific and Candide. I think he also did the Great Performance's production of Showboat from Houston Grand Opera.
It's nice to see he's still performing.
His addition to the cast actually makes me want to see the production now.

Yes, a very handsome Richard White was in the Papermill Showboat, as Gaylord. Here's him singing You Are Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qnw-eo8Z8vM&feature=relmfu
Hasn't Richard White also been playing the Phantom in the Yeston musical on and off since 1992? I feel like I read about him playing it again recently, but I don't remember where it was.

Yes, Richard White originated the title role in the Yeston/Kopit "Phantom", and is featured on the recording.
What a strange career he has had, for one so well known and respected in musical theatre. Only one Broadway credit, the 1979 revival of "Most Happy Fella". And while it usually says in his bio he played Joey, the whole truth is he was Richard Muenz's understudy. Did he actually go on during the show's 53-performance run? It's possible.
