So I'm off work in 15 minutes and I NEEEEEED to see a show tonight. I've been deprived since last Saturday *gasp*
However, most rush tickets for shows tonight were on sale when the box office opened, and as for the rest of the shows/lottos... well honestly, I've seen them all already!
So, I turn to you for advice:
1. What's the likelihood of getting rush tix to "Inishmore" at this hour?
2. Same question for "Bridge & Tunnel"
3. Same question for "Jacques Brel"
4. What else is playing in town that I should see (that's not a big name musical that I've probably seen already)
THANKS

Posted: 7/15/06 at 3:40pmInishmore is definite chance. Bridge and Tunnel as well should be easy. See Inishmore! Don't leave at intermission!

Oh, believe you me, if there are tickets available for Inishmore, I'm nabbing them! I've wanted to see that play since its incarnation. Blood bath on Broadway? Hells yes!
Plus, it's my mantra to never leave a show at intermission, no matter how unbearable. I feel if you respect the art, you'll respect the time.

Posted: 7/15/06 at 4:39pmI am so against leaving at intermission but the first act of Inishmore made me so tired that I think I would have left if I wasn't dead tired or up 3 flights of stairs. By the end of the second act it was one of my faovrite dramas. Enjoy! Post a review!

Muscle, I've already seen Wedding Singer.
I just got a ticket for Inishmore!
Yes, I'll be sure to post a review of some sort (probably linked from my personal journal) afterward.
Now, I need a nap.

I went to Inishmore this past Tuesday and got a rush ticket a half hour before curtain. It was third row mezzanine.
Jacques Brel is never sold out. Rush is always available, and totally worth it. I've rushed it twice and both times I got center orchestra.
Bridge and Tunnel rush is pretty easy to obtain, too. I went two months ago about an hour before curtain and got a ticket. It was rear mezz, but the theater is so small that the seat was fine.

That's the kind of answer I was lookin' for!
Thank you LucilleLeoFrank!
I anticipate seeing Jacques and B&T within the week.

Posted: 7/16/06 at 12:30amWickedGeek, I saw Inishmore last week and had the exact same reason. I came straight from work and while I thought it was good, I was dead tired and was afraid I wouldn't make it. Then Act Two happened and I totally fell in love with the bloody thing. And the twist at the end? Totally did not expect it, and the collective gasp (including my own, surprising myself), was well worth the trip.
