The Latest from Steph as posted on her website:
"Hi! So...9 TO 5 rehearsals are in full swing and I have yet to "tumble out of bed" or "stumble to the the kitchen"... which is a good thing, because knowing me, I'd hurt myself :)
All is well and exciting in my world. The show is terrific fun and I can't wait to put it up in front of an audience. There is still plenty of work to be done but I feel so proud to be a part of this show, this cast, this music. We all want to make Dolly proud!
I am very grateful for your excitement and support of 9 TO 5... we all want to make you proud too!
Keep sending good thoughts and I'll write again when the show is up and running in LA.
As always, much joy,
Stephanie J."
Glad to hear all is going well!
That's cool. Wanna reply to my PM now?

Why does this incessant shilling for SJB on this message board get a pass????
No one else does this.
There are plenty of fans of other performers, but no one makes a post every time that performer's website gets updated.
^^Don't get me wrong I love Stephanie but I have to agree.
I agree too. Plus Popular has ignored my PM. 8(

I have no clue what incessant shilling is but I agree also.
musicalsFan, if you don't like what's in the thread, why do you take the time to read it?
broadwayfan7 - thank you for being the only one to keep this thread positive.
musicalsfan - without fail you always reply to my updates. The last one was in April so I'm sorry if once every few months is too much to handle. Get over it, and if it bothers you so much then DON'T take the time to actually open it up and bump it up... just ignore it and let it sink to the bottom of the page. Somethingwicked, thanks for making my point.
Ben - I don't know why you'd expect me to actually reply but if I have to spell it out for you... NO, I don't have any 9 TO 5 audio to share, and if I did I would not care to share it with you.
I'm surprised by the rest of you, but whatever.... just passing on the news. Think of it what you will.
Thanks for the update Popular! I, for one, enjoy them.
I enjoy them too, Popular.

Thanks Popular!
The negativity on these boards is deplorable.
I, personally, am glad this board is updated when Ms Block writes something on her site. It's not very often that she does, therefore it is surprising that people have such a problem with it. What is more surprising is that you would waste your time complaining about it rather than just moving on and not giving it a second glance. Why waste your time?
This is a message board about theatre for people who love theatre. That, to me, includes all aspects of theatre. I enjoy hearing what actors have to say about current projects. I don't visit a lot of actors sites and therefore I find the info here, what I consider to be a great resource. A post is not made for every little thing that is updated on her website but I find it nice to inform people when she does write a message on the site (which is not often). But that is only one person's opinion.
It's unfortunate that a post that was created in a positive manner and with nothing but good intentions has now been reduced to this sort of negativity.
Thanks for the update, Popular!
OMGosh she updated on my birthday - that makes me uber happy.

I didn't mean to be negative but people can always go to Steph's site and read the updates or the OP could have just given the link to the site if people did want to read it.
Just out of curiosity what's the difference between posting the link and posting what was written? They are both starting a new thread which I think is what people are objecting to. I'm honestly just really curious (not trying to be sassy or anything).

That does make sense doesn't it. I guess it is the same thing...LOL.
DefyGravity777 - If I had simply posted a link then I'd probably be accused of trying to solicit visits to Steph's website, ect... My point is that with some people I'm forever going to be in a lose-lose situation. That's OK. I'm not going to please everyone and I don't post for those who I can't.
I don't trick people into reading my thread with misleading titles. If someone wants to spend their free time going into threads they don't care about, which personally I don't understand, that's their choice. I also can't stop those who simply like to pick fights. They should just remember that I have as much a right to post as they do to reply to what I've written.
Anyway, when the next thread over is announcing that Christina Applegate is fighting breast cancer this all just seems very silly. Not everyone frequents Steph's site so I posted that, after a 4 month lull, Steph updated... big deal! It wasn't meant to be some huge breaking news and is hardly good cause for such drama! To those who appreciated it, you're welcome! :)
Let's move on, shall we?

Thanks for the update Popular.
Hopefully, come September, this site will return to what is its version of normalcy.
I've never heard of a loose-loose situation. Is it like a lose-lose situation?
And I also love the updates. Thanks for posting!
Is it like a lose-lose situation?
LOL! Unfortunately it's not. Thanks for the correction, I'll edit.
I just watched a Good Morning America program (via a link) with Stephanie J. singing a beautiful song for Samantha Runyon... Stephanie is a beautiful woman, and I for one, appreciate hearing any type of new about her. It's important to keep those we enjoy and love in the light. Not only when they are in a show, but whenever! It's like saying hello to all her friends with a note. What's wrong with that? Posting it to this Board is a very convenient way (or those who do care) to get the news.
Thanks so much POPULAR!!!!
