That was me...my query was to try and see if the 7/23 matinee may be the chance to catch Kate Rockwell play Elle, since Becky Gulsvig will have already left the cast.

I think Kate will have plenty of chances to go on. Throwing a girl into a lead role eight times a week will be very trying and I'm sure there will be absences.

I'm thinking that there probably won't be many chances for Kate to go on. I say that because they're probably going to try to keep the winner from missing as many shows as possible. Just because there will probably be a lot of people coming to see her.

Regardless of who wins, I'd recommend that you get professional help.

I agree she should rest her voice but I also cant wait to see what she does after legally blonde. Does anyone know when Christian Borle is leaving the show? Im wondering if it is the same day as Laura.

That would imply that other than the 100 or so people on this board who watch and care, every one else does and that's simply isn't the case.

i will miss her dearly and so will the cast. her voice needs a bit rest but she does have a wonderdul voice. lauras present onstage is fantasic and seen her three times maybe four next month and everytime she did something different. hopefully lots of video and photo coverage from her last show. i feel the rest of the orginal cast will soon follow after she leaves the show. its hard wrenching coming down to her last day. we all know she will do fine and we hope to see her in another production soon. she has television program set up and shes working on her next album.

still hope the reality one has 3-6 month contract.
then we could see annaleigh hopefully come in and be the full time elle.
kate does deserve at least 3-4 shows in the role as elle, i think she will be lovely.
so if the person who asked about becky shes leaving with gillian on july 6th and becky will be full time elle on tour.

I think someone said this above, but July 21. The reality show Elle performs her first show on July 23. It seems kind of stupid for ticket sales. Won't most people want to wait to see who wins and then buy tickets?

about her resting her voice. She's singing at Carnegie hall in Nov i think. so she'll have at least a few months where she wont HAVE to sing.

I heard they are only giving the winner a two-week contract.. If that's true, which is probably is, I think it's to see if she can handle doing a broadway show.
