Laura Osnes left south pacific...???

Hi everyone,

I went to south pacific (twice) last week and both times Laura Osnes was not listed as Nellie in the Playbill.
Has she left?

Her understudy was superb but I was looking forward to her performance!

I would really like to see her...anyone know when she will be back?

She's probably on vacation. Laura is scheduled to leave around the beginning of August I believe.

If she was not on the Playbill and the understudy was on, who did they list as being the full time performer?

Very iffy. I blame Hunter Foster.

They listed Laura Marie Duncan as being the full time Nellie.

I also think Jen Cody has something to do with this conspiracy.

Laura got her start on TV. Reality TV even! She must be stopped.

I don't think you're in the minority at all. I have heard so many glowing reviews of Laura's performance. A coworker of mine saw the show and came back praising Laura's performance.

I've seen both Laura and Kelli and I would put Laura above Kellie. I felt the age difference between Nellie and Paulo was more palpable when I saw Laura as Nellie. When Kelli played Nellie I felt they were more like equals. If they didn't mention that Emile was older through the dialogue I don't think anyone in the audience would know. But with Laura you can physically see the age difference not only through Laura's youthful appearance but I felt she turned Nellie's naivete up a notch or two. Kelli is wildly talented and I can't wait to see what comes next for her. But of the two I actually preferred Laura in the role.

I've seen Kelli, Laura, and u/s Laura. They all play the part differently, but I think Laura Marie Duncan is my favorite. She was absolutely enchanting. That being said, I think all three women played the role perfectly in their own ways.
