So I know she left Newsies to lead Millie at the Maltz Jupiter and Papermill Playhouse, but just this weekend I was thinking that it must be awkward now not being able to go back to Newsies, then to find out today she's the next Sophie in Mamma Mia. I'm impressed! This girl has talent and I'm happy for her success.

^I hope to another show on Broadway and soon. It was really cool having THREE 2012 Carrie cast members on Broadway at the same time, even though it was only for a week. (Derek Klena in Wicked, Christy in Mamma Mia! and Ben Thompson in Matilda.) And of course, Andy Mientus was on Smash...

Laurie is a STAR. She's such a hard worker and so humble. She will have an amazing career that will span a long time.

Edit: maybe If Osnes plays Rapunzel in the ITW film, (I think) Laurie would make a great replacement in Cinderella. She was in the workshop...

You're right. And he was in Dogfight with Derek, too. I sure hope those two et along; they have been working together in three shows in a year and a half.

And I agree about Laurie. Saw her in both Newsies and Millie. She's wonderful and I see a long career ahead of her.

That's really interesting to hear since Liana Hunt, who replaced Laurie in Newsies, was the Sophie prior to Altomare!
