On tonights episode there was Bryce Ryness, Sutton Foster, and Kathy Griffin. What a broadway actor/actress filled episode. Law and order loves broadway people! Anyone else notice all of this on many law and order shows?
Did anyone else find the episode completely lame? Kathy Griffin, as much as I love her, cannot do drama convincingly. And the woman playing the victims girlfriend was a horrible actress...or should I say over-actress. Sutton was good. Leslie Kritzer was good...too bad they didn't let her play Riff-tina. Poor Bryce's character wasn't even essential to the story...and the character was kind of laughable.
I actually thought Kathy was pretty good. There were moments where it seemed that if the camera stayed on her for one second longer she was either going to start laughing or make a joke, but other than that I thought she was pretty decent. Sutton was wonderful, of course, and Bryce was way under used.

All three Law and Order shows are filmed in New York. Of course there will be a lot of Broadway actors appearing on them...sometimes more than once and as different characters! (Jerry Orbach played a defense attorney the season before he became a regular as Lenny Briscoe).
