I saw DeLaria play a woman in THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE and she reminded me of seeing Ethel Merman when I was 13.
Yes, she was THAT good, like Merman the perfect combination of a great belt and insanely funny low comedy!

Posted: 6/1/19 at 6:56amShe was the highlight in an otherwise bland On the Town revival at the Gershwin a few years back. Unfortunately I don’t think she can no longer pull off playing traditional female roles.
