Having never heard or watched Ms Michele perform on[in?] Glee, after listening to her rendition of Broadway Baby, I think the role in this Bollywood movie would be perfect for her.

Maybe this is the new way to get noticed-sing a hit song in an animated movie=even if you are a singing monkey !

I'm actually surprised Lea's agent thinks this is a good idea. If I were managing her, I'd try to get her a guest spot on Mad Men as a Barbra Streisand-like beatnik. Most of the cast would smirk at Lea's acting ability, but at least January Jones could rest easy that she wasn't the worst actress on Mad Men.

Typical Dreamworks, casting famous people in their animated movies regardless of voice acting skill.

Also, real Bollywood movies don't have the actor sing his or her respective songs. In fact, each song is usually sung by a different person.

Oh I see. Lea Michele seems to pick some very obscure projects. Besides GLEE she really hasn't done anything noteworthy on tv or film. Perhaps her alleged nasty attitude is what's holding her back.
