How much did it cost to produce the show? Anyone know if its earned back the money?

It's been open for, what, a month? Even Wicked took two years to make money.
I heard $12 mil. Of course it hasn't recouped yet. But it will. If not here, then on tour. I think it has a long life ahead of it
(which, if you ask me, is a good thing)
has it even announced a tour-or is just been said there might be one? It's already earned close to 7 mill. i think.
Oh, there'll be a tour. I guarantee it! It was made for that.
Also, if you're looking at the grosses, you have to remember weekly costs for cast, crew, rent, etc. It's probably a lot less than that. The ACL revival took 8 months of strong sales to recoup $8 mil. Probably at least a year for LB if sales are good (and they're not FANTASTIC so far. Good, but not great)

It may have earned $7 million, but that doesn't mean they've made $7 million. Factor out weekly running costs (which are secret). Anything they've earned above their weekly nut goes into the recoup pot.
Please let there be a tour. I'd love to be a part of it!
Ugh, I wish they had to post the nut with the grosses! I'd kill to know that stuff.

A big show like Legally Blonde....you can figure it costs upwards of $600k a week to run.

How much do you think LBB gets paid a week? Does a TONY nomination play any part in pay. I heard after Idina won for Wicked her pay was boosted.

They'll have to completely re-design the scenic concept of the show for a tour (which will inevitably happen, probably in the fall of next year.)
Since alot of the set pieces rely on an elevator system that most road houses won't have, I'm curious to see how they'll adapt the show for that type of performance space.
Yeah. I forgot about that-ALOT of the set is elevator based.
I am sure they have already thought of ways to do it.
I mean if Poppins can tour....Blonde should be no problem.
IDK-if Mary Poppins would be as good being a scaled downed production.
well they are planning it.
