Since everyone is asking for it and no one seems to have details. The first people in line seem to be getting there around 7AM, and you should probably be there by 8 to guarantee yourself seats. The tickets are in the first two rows of the orchestra, AA and A. There are 24 seats given out, 2 per person. A lot of people went home disappointed this morning, there were a lot more people than there were tickets.
:) Hope this helps everyone.

Thanks for the info, I was waiting for someone to post this. So do evening and matinée rush tickets go on sale at the same time when the box office opens?
Yes, evening and matinee tickets go onsale at the same time, when the box office opens.
ive never sat so close at the Palace. Is the stage really high?
i have to find out where their wheelchair seating costs and how much that is too. keep my options open :)

Do most theaters offer rush to handicapped students, or no? I don't really know the policy, so I'm wondering if perhaps they can offer that to you...
EDIT: That came out the wrong way. I meant... is there handicapped accessible seating available to student rush participants?
Well, if I can get to the seat on my own and can sit in a regular seat, they have no cause to tell me I cant sit in a student rush seat. Ive done lottery and rush for many shows but with Wicked for example, I cant get to those seats. Thankfully tho, their crappy wheelchair seating that feels like its in another building is priced to match the lottery.
On a rare occassion Ive been given a wheelchair seat at the student price when the prices were not the same and I cant get to the student seats. Honestly, I dont know that theres much of a policy in place for that kind of situation, it can depend on who I speak to at the box office.
Yes, the stage is very high at the Palace.

I'm seeing it tonight, so I'll look for the accessible seats and let you know where they are. And if I see on the price sign what the pricing is, I'll be sure to tell you. :)

The stage at the Palace is very high. From the front row you will have some trouble seeing things flat on the stage. (Meaning if someone was to lay down on the stage you would not see them.)
I sat about 4th row for ASU, and from there you can't see the bottoms of their legs.
I'm going to rush this next week.

Does anyone know how the crowds have been the past couple of days? Should we still get there at 7 or has it gotten any crazier?
The stage is high up. I was in the front row and missing the actors' feet wasn't so much an issue with me as missing the dogs when they were on the ground.
I rushed this morning (Saturday) and got there at 7:30 and was 3rd in line. By 8 there were about 12 people. So I would get there at 7:30 to be safe. I have to say by the time the door opens you will know Omi God You Guys, So Much Better, And Take it Like a Man by heart because they play loudly no stop on the speakers outside. But Im going to be in the first row tonight!!! Can't wait!

Those songs play on speakers before the doors open...so you were listening to them for 2 and a half hours?....wow

Friday I got to the rush line at 9, and was about 12th in line. I got A 102,104,106 meaning there were 6 seats left after me. I'd say it turned out that the first fifteen people in line got seats. I guess it depends on the day, but as soon as the show gains popualrity and the reviews come out you may have to be there around six (especially if scalpers show up).
And yes, I was scared I'd be sick of the show already just by listening to 3 songs over and over again outside the theater. But, as usual, it's much bette live!
Not that it matters to me since I don't live in New York, but if people start showing up earlier and earlier for the rush, will they turn it into a lottery instead?

^Doubtful, judging by what happens daily at Jersey Boys.
And they didn't play the music Thursday morning, luckily.
My friends really want to see this with me, so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to rush if we'll have trouble seeing. Is the stage worse than front row at the Hirshfeld theatre? I'd rather rush, but not if we won't enjoy it.
Is there a show tomorrow? Do you think that rush would be easier?

To both of the above posts:
1) The stage is about a foot higher than at the Hirschfeld, but the front row is about five or six feet away from it- an open pit and room for the conductor.
2) Sunday rushes are worse. People will get there generally just as early, but the box office opens two hours later.

I rushed this morning and got there at 7:50am and was 6th online I believe. I was able to get Row A 101-107 for the matinee. The show was great and the view was also. The stage isn't as high as you'd think it is and the only thing I missed was Paulette's dog jumping out of the trailer.
