I didn't offend Laura's figure. I said that Laura's figure was hidden behind a stack of huge books, which it was.

What was Laura heavily known for? Susan Wilks in Huckleberry Finn? That film was not that popular. She had a couple of minor parts in Life With Mikey (not a huge success) and Jumanji (small role). That was when she was around 12-15 years old. True, she originated the leading role in Ruthless, but outside of some obsessive musical theatre fans, the general public didn't know about it.

A lot of people knew her... not to mention the MTV airing still early in the shows run. She got attention.

Most people did not know Laura when she was cast in the show or when it opened. She was not as established a star in the US as Sheridan is in the UK, is what I'm saying, which likely had to do with the different approach in the advertising.

Sheridan is far more attractive than LBB, and also looks much younger.

Laura was a great Elle and im sure Sheridan will be as well

And as i said on the West End board Fame, Footloose, Saturday Night Fever, Grease...they never look age appropriate.

There yes...although LauraBell has looked more attractive than her when I met her. But in the advertising pictures... she looks old.

Well when i saw her coming out of stage door at the Palace and from the 2nd row of the palace she looked about 28, not early 20s like Elle, so i guess by your logic then both were too old for the role

I doubt she had her Elle make up on leaving the theatre... but Sheridan looks extremely old in the pictures. I'm not trying to diss her, I just think the promotional photos should be re-taken and go through less editing.
