I realize that you have to completelly suspend your disbelief to get into this show at all, but one lyric strikes me as odd: "Three kids at least just like the Kennedys." They did have three kids, but one sadly died as an infant. When you think of JFK and Jackie's kids, you think of Caroline and John Jr. You don't think of the third one who was only on this earth for a very short time.

Sorry, I got carried away. re: Legally Blonde lyric question My question is, why not "Two kids at least just like the Kennedys?" Was it intentionally not supposed to make sense?

I thought the lyric referred to Joe and Rose Kennedy's three children: Joe Jr, John and Robert Kennedy. No?

There are other Kennedys.

JFK had more siblings that just Joe Jr. and RFK. I assumed Warner was referring to JFK and Jackie because he also says "less of a Marilyn, more of a Jackie."

Well she's confused because they reference Jackie Kennedy- so one would assume when saying "kids just like the Kennedies" they're referring to those specific Kennedies which makes sense to do.

But according to Wiki there were 4 children including the one that died at birth? I know it's not a good source but I am on a study break and dont have time to look into it- so either that's the case which would be 3 -4 since one died.

If not, two kids atleast like the kennedies, sounds too bland. because everyone can have two kids, but 3 kids atleast sounds more special, I guess?

just my guess.

"two" doesn't rhyme with "kenneDY" . "three" and "kennedy" are more similar.

that's the obvious part though...

The joke is EVERY Kennedy had AT LEAST three kids. And remember, at this point in the show, they are both airheads.

I can't believe that Legally Blonde has been the source for such a deep debate.

Neither can I, lol. It was just bugging me. Of course the fact that she she actually got into Harvard is the most ridiculous and unrealistic part of the show (and that's saying something). re: Legally Blonde lyric question

Quoting wikipedia JKF had 4 kids:
"John F. Kennedy had 2 children that survived infancy. Caroline was born in 1957 and John Jr. was born in 1960, just a few weeks after his father was elected. John died in 1999 when the small plane he was piloting crashed en route to Martha's Vineyard, killing him, his wife and his sister-in-law.[48]

Caroline is currently the only surviving member of JFK's immediate family. His two other children were Arabella Kennedy (August 23, 1956 - August 23, 1956), a stillborn, and Patrick Bouvier Kennedy (August 7, 1963 - August 9, 1963)."

"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." Sherie Rene Scott

Elphaba3, I completely get what you're saying; nice attention to detail, and thanks for making me think.

Elphaba3: It's actually not unrealistic at all. She had a fantastic LSAT score and a 4.0 GPA.

Unless you mean that she got in because of "love." Then, yeah, I see your point. The musical was dumb, though, for making that have to happen. In the movie she got in with just her spectacular numbers, which is how it would probably work in real life.

That may be true SporkGoddess, but didn't she have at least a tad bit of help in the entrance video wearing a bikini?

I mean, she majored in fashion merchandising, but how could she possibly remember all this?

Yeah, but if she had a 2.5 and a low LSAT score, no bikini on earth could have gotten her into Harvard.
