yes, i know she is half jewish (or full jewish, or whichever). i also know she is half black. having seen the show with NPH, MCH, and now JCM, JCM's take on the character is much more abusive towards yitzhak than the others have been. so i can easily see him using race as one more weapon against yitzhak. this run is an opportunity for him to expand on and reinvent the character. he clearly is not tied down to the same rigid interpretations of these characters as some of the fans are.

hmmm, don't remember all those references to him getting kneecapped an hour before the show in the original script.

he's clearly willing and able to change things up due to new circumstances, like he's done for the knee injury. the overall story and structure is the same, but there's so much he's changed in the details, new jokes, new comments, emphasizing different aspects of the character than in the past. he's said this himself in numerous interviews.

I was talking about the allegedly and supposedly "politically incorrect" German & Jew stuff. That was gone when the revival opened and returned when the show's creator took over the lead role.

i will admit i don't know exactly which jokes were in the original script. i know MCH did the "german and the jew" bit, can't remember if NPH did or not. there's an auschwitz joke now that wasn't in there earlier in the run.

i think i'm safe in assuming the obama joke wasn't in the original script though.

I wonder if Conley is also leaving the show shortly. There's been a casting notice recently posted, though it doesn't state whether it's for the role of Yitzhak or just the u/s. I would hope that Jones will be with the show for a while.
