Was it a repeat?

Leno strikes me as a huge homophobe.

Musical, no.

I did hear that Annie Proux has granted the rights for the story to be done as an opera.

Conan and Ferguson are the only late show people that keep things fresh; The others keep rehashing the same old tired material.

An opera of it might be really interesting. I don't know if that rumor was real or fake but if done right...very interesting.

It actually was announced about a month ago that composer Charles Wuorinen has begun working on an operatic treatment of Brokeback Mountain. No commission or opera house is involved yet, but it is definitely in the works.

Through my work, I got a comp to see Jay Leno do his stand-up act in Atlantic City. Besides the usual Michael Jackson and Robert Blake bits, he had a really long sequence about how hard it was for his parents to rewind tapes in their VCR.

Not a DVR. Not a DVD player. Not the Internet. Not even difficulty in programming the VCR. Just rewinding the tapes. And this was in 2004, folks. That joke wouldn't even have been current when he first started "The Tonight Show."

So "Oklahoma-sexual" seems about what I would expect.
