How often do they revive Les Mis or bring tours around?
I missed it the last time it was hear (by 5 days
!) but I really want to see this show and was wondering if they would bring it back anytime soon.
Walnut Street Theater here in Philadelphia will have a production of Les Mis. I believe they don't tour anymore.
on Broadway, probably (and hopefully) they will not bring it back for some time.
Les Mis will be at Wolf Trap near Washington DC this summer.

there are regional productions all the time but no more official tours
Correct me if I'm wrong but I could have sworn I heard rumors months ago about the show having a non-equity tour in the future. I might have read it on here, which is why I question the validity of it.
But yes, no more Broadway probably for a while.
Isn't there an "all new" tour going out soon? Didn't I read that they were sending out a tour with new sets, costume, direction, and staging?
I heard rumors about the non-equity tour, but it was only a rumor and awhile back, mind you.
Knowing Cameron Mackintosh it'll be back within the next 5 years. I'd rather that he brings back Miss Saigon though.

I would be so happy if the Miss Saigon tour came back.

According to the Theatre of the Stars brochure I got in the mail today, an "all-new production" will be at the Fox Theatre, Atlanta, September 19-28. The blurb starts with "Theatre of the Stars proudly announces our exciting new production of the powerful and passionate LES MISERABLES." There must be SOMETHING new about this production or else they wouldn't say it so much in their ad.
The 3rd national tour closed in St. Louis the summer of 2006.

I love Les Miserables, but I don't know if they're going to do another run.
Well, if you'd look at the second link I'd posted, you'd see that they will.

To be evolved from the August Hollywood Bowl concert?
p.s. If not from the Philadelphia Walnut Street Theatre "new envisioning" production as I previously expressed.

The Philly Production soon - how different do you think it will be from the "broadway" or REAL thing?
This just in: Anything not Cameron Mackintosh-ized is NOT REAL!!!
Back to you in the studio.
The Theater of the Stars production isn't exactly a tour per-se but it is moving around. I am in the cast and as of right now it is rehearsing here in new york for 3 weeks and teching and previewing somewhere close (in the tri-state area)at the end of august. Then it plays at Wolftrap in Virginia for a week and a half, then a week run at The Kansas City Starlight, and then a week run at the Fox in Atlanta. I have heard rumors of other dates, but my contract is only until September 29th.
Is there a cast list posted anywhere? Not necessarily trying to figure out who you are, but I am curious as to who's in the show. :)
(And I swear I replied to this earlier...)

I haven't gotten a cast list yet, and believe me, I am just as curious as you are to see one. I have a feeling that some negotiating is still going on. Also, from what I've heard one or two people were offered this gig and then had to immediately turn it down because they were part of the original company of A Tale Of Two Cities and they were offered that. It's the same casting company-Barry Moss.
I don't even know MY track yet. I know I am in the ensemble, and am an understudy, but for what-I don't know. It's being directed by Fred Hanson, who was a PSM, production supervisor, and Associate director on the original. He also directed the last Miss Saigon Tour, and executive produced the Les Mis Revival.
