"Now they should tour the revival."
Actually didn't they really just revive the tour in New York?
I know that there was a whole new rehearsal process but the show really wasn't appreciably different from the tour in terms of staging. Plus it was the tour set.

Hahaha, true. I'm kind of indifferent though. I know when I go up to New York City and I'm looking for a great show that's 50% off there's always Les Mis. But then again, it's 23 years old, and I agree it could really use some updates, perhaps even attempting to shorten some of it, change the sets, and do a full production of it, somewhat like the new (finished) production of EVITA, which I didn't actually like too much so I'm being a hypocrite. I don't know, but they will always need something to get people into the theatre to see that show. You either love it or you hate it.

Posted: 10/30/07 at 3:27pmI wasn't really too surprised that some people here are happy that Les Mis is closing, since some people didn't want the show to be revived, at least not yet anyway. It was just a little disappointing to hear the reaction. If I was in charge of a revival, I probably wouldn't change that much, maybe some small changes in costums and sets, and probably bring back much of what was cut since the CSR recording. Lastly, I am glad to hear Rona did a pretty good job as Fantine, although I think it is too soon to judge if she would be a good regular in the role.

Went to the EPA today - it was mobbed.
Like me, I guess no one was online yesterday to hear the news.
And poor Judy - first Woman in White, now this. Someone get this chick a show that won't close as soon as she joins the cast!

Then why bother even reviving it? This has always been my problem with the current production.

Posted: 10/31/07 at 9:25amI agree it probably was too soon to have a revival of Les Mis. I wouldn't want to change too much, because I know many fans like the show like the show the way is/was(as far as staging costumes, and songs), I would want to be careful when making changes.
