Sounds like tour closing. No balloons either?

That was the most memorable performance I have witnessed to this day, and probably will ever witness. I was crying throughout the entire show but when there was a standing ovation during the finale when the cast sings "will you join in our crusade...", I completely lost it.
EDIT: oh yeah, nice to meet you p.s! haha

The atmosphere really was electric inside, wasn't it. The cheering started the minute the conductor raised his baton, and there was prolonged applause for almost every major song, especially JOJ's BRING HIM HOME. It was the first time I'd seen this production since last December, so I couldn't tell you what was "special," but it was clear the performers were giving their all. The audience was on their feet before the last note was sung in the finale, and the cast bowed together first, then went off to do the curtain call in the usual way.
It was a fantastice afternoon/evening, and I was very glad I was there.
MbMusic, where were you standing at the stage door?

I was at the original closing. It was an AMAZING evening. I didn't think the revival would get the same treatment. Congrats to all invlolved, I'm glad it's leaving with dignity and not full of pomp and grandeur imposed upon by Cameron.

That's how they always do the curtain call. I felt everyone was overacting a bit and the only noticeable difference was curtain all lasted a little longer than usual.

I asked Lea Harowitz what she has planned next. She said that she is doing Les Miserables yet again. However, she will be doing Cosette in Chicago.
Becca Ayers is in Avenue Q for a bit. she said tuesday through thursday as a swing. She doubts she will go on she said. But, one of the swings is taking a few days off and they need someone there while she is away.
And then After Q she is going to go to the ensamble of South Pacific.

"MbMusic, where were you standing at the stage door?" -kec
I was standing in front of the brick wall of the theater about 15 feet west of the stage door. It was a good place to stand so that we could wait until the actors signed autographs for those who crowded them. By the time they got to us, most people had already gotten their autographs.

Is Les Mes going back on tour? I have actually never seen it.

There's a rumor it might, but there are also plenty of regional theatres doing it these days.

Don Brewer's going to be in Mamma Mia in Las Vegas, Dan Bogart is playing Marius in the Wichita Les Mis, and Jeff Kready is going to be in the Sunday in the Park with George revival on Broadway.
There are rumors of a touring concert production, or at least a re-imagining, but I haven't heard anything for certain.

Any word on what Rona Figueroa, one of the Fantine understudies, is doing next?

It's just that it's so hard to imagine a production of Les Mis that is very different than everything that has been done before.

Did anyone take pics at the closing performance, or would it be bad to post them (I guess they're kind of illegal) on this forum? If it's cool though, that would be awesome if we could share pics.

I wonder what's next for Judy Kuhn.
Random question, did Megan McGinnis close the show as Eponine or was she gone already?

Yes, Megan was the last Eponine.

I have stage door pictures, but none of the performance itself.

Oh and some info- Megan McGinnis and J.O.J. said that they were going to take some vacation time. Robert Hunt said that he would be doing something at Carnegie Hall at the end of the month.
But going back to what kec and JKlock said--it was truly an amazing and somewhat bitter-sweet moment when everyone in the theater rose out of their seats and started applauding. I'm fairly young, so for me, that was by far the most amazing theater experience I have ever been apart of (besides the first time I ever saw Les Miserables). It was really awesome.

I believe JOJ is going back to London after he takes some time off.
I heard Robert Hunt say he was going into Jerry Springer, The Opera next.

Yea, JOJ seemed pretty confident he would return to Les Mis in London sometime in the future.
