The film might not come out until 2013.

Also, I saw this clip on youtube (which did not make me feel comfortable with the singing voice of Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried but that aside) You can see a promotional poster at 1:08 which says "summer 2013":

That "promotional poster" is fan-made, not real. And believe me, they are doing their best to get it out in December for Oscar consideration or else it's going to have to wait another whole year.

That article is from last November. They already moved it out a week to 12/14.

Anne Hathaway has a nice voice but I really don't think she is strong enough for Fantine. I hope she proves me wrong. And that poster is really cool, shame it's not real!

The movie is set for a USA wide release on December 14, 2012.

I hope it's in Imax 3D - the score in 12,000 watt sound would be worth the price alone.

It won't be in 3D, Hooper nixed that idea a long time ago. And I doubt it's going to be in IMAX either, mostly because The Hobbit IS going to be in IMAX 3D and most if not all of the IMAX theaters will probably already have booked that. Mine has!

The music should still sound pretty cool on a theater system, though!

One of the YT comments is questioning if Aaron Tveit can sing musical theatre. Uhh... Also, I don't think they picked the best clips for everyone.

I agree re the clips. And outside of Broadway I don't think a lot of people know about Aaron. Boy will they be surprised. I'm still gobsmacked when I read "can Hugh Jackman even sing????"

I mean, personally I have never enjoyed Jackman's singing voice. So I am really hoping for him to win me over with this.
