Thank you! So glad the show is coming through Salt Lake. We saw it on Broadway a few years ago and loved it.

Some people from the 3rd national tour are doing this production. Don't know who's playing Valjean.....anyone?

Some people from the 3rd national tour are doing this production.
Who?
Although that's not surprising, given that Utah has provided Les Miz with so much in years gone by.

They recently have added an additional week of performances so you might try then. From what I understand performances towards the end of May/beginning of May are not completely sold out. You might try then...

So glad the show is coming through Salt Lake.
Actually, just to be clear, this is not a touring production. It's Pioneer Theatre's own original production. Several cast members are Les Miz alumni, but the direction, sets, costumes, etc. will be entirely new for this, the first such production outside of the Mackintosh companies and the high school version. Very exciting news for us Utahns.

It is going to be interesting, seeing who from the 3nt or other productions of Les Mis are going to end up doing regionial productions. It makes me excited for when the first regional production in my area happens, its only a matter of time.

Yay Trista! I saw her in West Side Story and Avenue X. She has an amazing high soprano and phenominal belt! I know later that summer she is playing Carla in Nine here in Cleveland. She is a great performer.

I love PTC, too - I saw "Pride & Prejudice" there a few months ago. I'm really looking forward to seeing this production of "Les Miserables" in May!

Praise fellow Utahns! (Heck, they be the only one that would understand who my username is named after!)
I wish I was still in Utah, but life has me on the other side of the world for the moment! (No, not anything mission related either).

Just an update-I just called the box office, and most of the shows ARE sold out. I just got ahold of the last two tickets for one of the nights. Get them ASAP!
Your fupa is showing.

theatrechic, do you mean Adinah Alexander (of "Wicked" and "The Wedding Singer")?
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Don't know how reliable this is, but I heard that Jason Kraack (u/s on 3NT) is playing Valjean.
