Movieguy, They are NOT making a recording of this. And even if they did they would use DRV not Lea. If you want to hear Lea sing I dreamed a dream then go to youtube. There is already a Les Miserables recording with Salonga. It's the Royal Albert Hall concert. They aren't gonna make a new recording because they already have 4 recordings of the show in english. They are not gonna do a fifth.

why don't they just call it an open-ended run and be done with it?! this extention business is getting ridiculous!
i'm not against that or anything, i'm all about employed actors.. but it's just funny now, lol.

EDIT: oh, just hit me.. because when they give it an end cap, people are quicker to buy tickets because they think they don't have forever. hm, i guess that makes sense.

haha wow, definitely just answered my own retorical question, oy vey.. it was a long day!

I think the "extending" marketing ploy has done it's job - it's an open ended run. If they're selling tix thru September, they'll probably go thru December with the Holiday season. I wonder if it will make it thru next Winter - but it's obviously doing well enough to keep running.

As for another recording - highly, HIGHLY doubtful - its not even the Original Broadway "Revival" (if they can truly call it a revial) cast anymore if they're bringing Lea Salogna in.

But with Cameron Mac - you never know...

The real question - will the revival of Les Miz last longer than "The Pirate Queen" - bets anyone????

Count me in for the bet! I say that, even though I love me some SJB and actually enjoyed The Pirate Queen, unless they're changes are EXTREMELY radical (and good ones...), Les Miz will be there longer that PQ.

Yeah - I havent seen/heard anything from the Pirate Queen - but once the blood got in the water last year - it seemed everyone made it this season's Lestat...
