Why are you even surprised that it’s extending? It was the longest running show on Broadway, and it’s only been a few years since it actually closed.
So, I’m guessing people are thinking it’s the same old show and just keep coming back.
It’s going to run for a while….

Really though, did it need to come back in the first place? Has it been financially sucessful? Couldn't it wait like 20 years and keep the sets in storage? And besides, Frankenstein, Frank Abagnale, Jr, and some pirates need a home...

Posted: 2/4/07 at 9:16pmAs I've come to understand it, Lea's only playing "Fantine" for a limited time, wherein, Daphne will be performing in JACK GOES BOATING. Upon finishing her run in that show, Daphne will then return to the role to close the "over-extended" run...I enjoyed the show, I really, really, really did, but COME'ON! Let it be, and let it live in our MEMORIES ... not at the Broadhurst. You're killing the special aura around actually 'having it back' to celebrate the 20+ years.

In an interview Lea stated that she will stay with Les Miz until the end of the run. She has said she will stay if extended.
The Cinderella tour does not start until middle of 2008.
