Yes, I did dare, but thank you for your pity anyway. And it was in jest, but I'm sorry if I offended you.
What was rhetorical about my above post? Didn't know I was being rhetorical today.

I love receiving sacrasm and snarkiness because I was offended! Oh boy! Today must be my lucky day!

What I wrote wasn't meant to be snarky or sarcastic. Seriously.
And I would never do sarcasm on a message board anyway, it doesn't translate well.

Then you are dumb. Joking about Tourette's is pretty low.
(And before anyone says anything, *I* don't see Louis Centanni posting here, do you?)

I'm gonna third the making fun of Tourette's thing. My best friend has it and she really has a tough time dealing with it.
Side note: I love you LizzieCurry.

"i know everyone in the cat and crew. i'm jacob levine, gavroche."
I'll bet he also knows the top dog and chain gang as well. Out of the mouth of babes. Way to go Jacob! Thanks for confirming. Enjoy the rest of the run!
...and little people know when little people fight. We might look easy pickins but we've got some bite.

Posted: 2/12/07 at 9:37pmAlmost..Thank you my old shadow... I take pride in my young proteges. With Broadway credits at what..10-12?, it's much more than some have accomplished in a lifetime.

Posted: 2/12/07 at 9:46pmlittlemanlevine, YOU ARE AMAZING!!! I saw you as Gavroche and it was incredible. You signed my Playbill and we got our pic together. You are awesome man!!!

Posted: 2/12/07 at 9:48pmthis might be frowned upon, but could they do a highlight recording with only principals and cut down on who they have to pay?
#62re: Les Miz Revival Recording?
Posted: 2/12/07 at 9:52pm^ Probably not. WHile most songs on a highlights disc would be solos, some songs (such as One Day More) need the ensemble, and they wouldn't be left off a highlights disc either.

Posted: 2/12/07 at 10:00pmi only listen to the CSR because i hate colm wilkinson's voice (please don't shoot me). i love gary morris - and michael ball, but that's a whole other thing. i would DEFINATELY buy a revival cast recording. why not? new orchestrations, fresh new cast, what is wrong with another recording? it's a successful show! it's been running for 21 years. give us something cam! :) sorry, i am very passionate about my les mis. :)

LC, I wasn't making fun of people with Tourettes, I was making a jab at myself. Something tells me you already knew that though.
But since you mentioned it, yeah, I am pretty low. Nothing new there. I kick grandmas and steal tips too, so not only am I apparantly anti-Tourettes, I'm also anti-grandma and anti-waitress. Wanna be my friend?
That was sarcasm, by the way. Guess I just broke my own rule, innit?

littlemanlevine, your'e such a good performer!
I hope there is an OBRC CD!

They could record the show using karaoke tracks and they'd still have to pay the same amount of money. There is no cutting down when it comes to that.

Agreed. If you have a purported cast member telling you something, there's no doubt it's true.
There really is no use for a new recording. Beyond the theater circles, who would buy it?

Two weeks ago (as previously posted in this and one or two similar threads) I spoke to someone in the show (in the know) and they said (he or she said) that there are no current plans for a revival cast recording.
[The feeling is that there already exist enough cast recordings.]
p.s. And no current plans to readdress the plans after March 7th.

Plus if other lead cast members leave and that's all I'm saying for now, it really makes little sense to pursue this any further.

And making sense is what this board is all about. That said...
The only English-language highlights recording that was ONLY highlights was the Manchester recording. Plus, I believe they used the orchestral backing from the CSR (cheaper!), and with the new orchestrations for the revival, that might complicate things more if that's what they also would want to preserve.
So. I don't know if a Manchester-style CD would be out of the question for the revival, 'cuz if you have certain favorites you'd want to hear, you'd be disappointed.
The Manchester recording only has 5 tracks -- IDAD, ECAET, BHH, Stars, and OMO. I guess it'd be better than nothing!
