Posted: 7/30/06 at 10:59pmSeeing as the whole revival thing is mostly a grab at more money, I would think that unless the entire cast gets slammed by the critics, then they'd probably make a highlights CD. I'd be shocked if anything other than a highlights recording happened, including none at all. Not sure how successful it'd be, but they'd try, I'm sure.

I don't know. I respect your opinion, but I think that the majority thinks the TACR is the best "overall" recording and I do agree with that. So, I think there will be a recording just because Mackintosh simply, can.
I just have to add that my personal fav. is the OBCR. I think the orchestrations are great and this cast, besides David Bryant and Terrance Man, really give the most heart on this recording. Of course though, Randy Graff has her ups and downs on the recording
IMO the Symphonic recording sucks.

I completely agree. None of the other recordings can hold a candle to the Paris revival one.

The only reson I want a CD of this is because I want to hear Gary Beach sing Master of the House! He's gonna be awesome!

Posted: 7/31/06 at 9:23amHere are my thoughts; the people who say that "there are four English recordings that are selling well, why make another" do have a point. However if the cast is good, and the reorchestration turns out well I think they might make a recording.

Posted: 7/31/06 at 9:30amI hope they'll record this cast. I'd love for it to happen. I'd buy it.

Posted: 7/31/06 at 10:58amI agree Lizzie!! Of the 24 recordings of the show I have, the 1991 Paris is my favorite, by far.
