Did anyone else catch Leslie on television last night hosting and performing for the Fourth of July? I thought he was INCREDIBLE!

Which city? Which station was it on, so I can try and look it up and view it.

NBC10 in Philadelphia.  I thought the concert, as a whole, was abysmal - but I was comparing it to past concerts we have had here.  I thought Leslie did OK, and the hometown crowd was certainly more receptive to his jazz performances than I anticipated.  It was strange to see him reading lyrics off of his iPhone.

I had been offered VIP tickets, accepted them, then decided my disdain for people precluded me from going.  Then I found out they were giving out Hamilton tickets and decided I would go.  Then I stayed in bed anyway.

He read lyrics off his phone at the Easter Bonnet performance of Hamilton's tribute to Sweeney Todd. Maybe he's not great at memorizing lyrics quickly.

As Alexander mentioned, the concert as a whole was less than stellar compared to previous years. Certainly a drop off in name recognition alone given previous years boasted performances by Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Hudson, etc. Leslie was my sole reason for tuning in since I had no major interest in anyone else performing, and he did hold my attention for the time he was on stage. The only time he read the lyrics from his phone was during Me and Mrs. Jones.

I know a lot of people complained about the event as a whole since ABC6 in Philadelphia was the previous home of the Wawa Welcome America concert and fireworks, and hopefully they return to ABC6 next year given how poorly this year's turn out was.
