Has anyone heard her CD? She's played Cossette on the "Les Miz" tour. It's a nice mix of Broadway and pop. She does a beautiful version of Jerome Moross' "Windflowers" and a knockout version of Jason Robert Brown's "I Can Do Better Than That" from L5Y!! I finally got to hear "Defying Gravity" and she rocks out on it. It's so great to hear a legitimate soprano with a belt to her!!
Never heard of her, but I just looked at the tracklist of her cd, and I like most of the selections she chose.
She's playing Cosette right now, actually. She's a wonderfully powerful Cosette, and her CD is amazing. I don't usually gush, but the selections as well as the performances are...I'm out of words! Just buy it. :)

I have heard of her. I heard she was good. She was the understudy for Amanda Huddleston when I saw the tour. Is there a link to a website or something?

I've been playing tracks from the CD on Maximum Broadway Radio since February. It's a solid disc with some great performances. My 2 favorite tracks are actually the pop songs, "Time After Time" and "I Can't Make You Love Me." I really like Leslie's ability to sing the simpler quiet parts of songs that so many overlook while focusing on the big show-stopping notes.
Samples of most of the tracks are available on Leslie's web site which I believe is the only place the CD is on sale.

You can also buy it from her in person, but I'm not sure where else online there is to get it. The fact that she says she's selling them "entirely on her own" probably means "nowhere."
No kidding. Didn't we cover this?

She has a very nice voice...i love her clips...but not soo much her take on Defying Gravity, she's stays on her high range for too long. my opinion...she's great though.

I listened to the Defying Gravity clip on her website and she sounds beautiful and has a nice clear voice. Does she belt the high notes at the end or keep it soft? I would love to hear the whole thing.
EDIT - haha! Just realized she was the Cosette when I saw Les Mis in November. I didn't really think of her much in the role ... but she was nice ...
Why arent the clips working for me?

Saw Les Mis in L.A. in December last year...I'd say that Leslie is a power house as Cosette.
EDIT: NEVERMIND :) Updated On: 4/24/05 at 11:44 PM

I hadn't heard any of Annie Warbucks before I got Leslie's CD, and now I've half a mind to go find it -- although from the reviews I was able to dig up, "It Would Have Been Wonderful" was the only good song in the show.
Didn't Jason Grae record the Annie Warbucks song on his Strouse album several several years ago?
Apparently so.
