To see or not to see?
It's a shame, IMO, because I love Elton's music.
See it if you can
I really wish I had gotten to see the NY version.
Does anyone know if the souvenir program is for sale online anywhere? Besides ebay? Thanks!
Thank God it's gone! What an awful show!
I am sad that Warner suffered so badly in their first outing. It would really be nice if they got involved in the Bway scene.
If Warner Brothers is smart, it will be their last outing & they will stay as far away from Broadway as possible

This is just so sad. I really feel for the cast and crew. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I will definitely be there to see the show Friday and Sunday. Just made to the East Coast in a nick of time...

Why does everyone feel bad for the cast? I'm sure they read that terrible script before they signed on.
If Sir Elton were smart, he would stay away from Broadway
He does not need the money & all in all, if I were him, I would say it is not worth the aggravation & heartache

I don't want to say that it deserved to close, but....it didn't deserve to open.
Your opinion . Mine is different

"If Sir Elton were smart, he would stay away from Broadway"....
On this we agree! Please keep him away. :)
An opinion I do not share
Along with millions worldwide not to mention those who see him in Vegas year round. He is crying all the way to the bank. He has lasted longer on the scene than many Broadway composers.
You obviously do not like his music. Again you are entitled. He writes music you listen to as opposed to some unnamed composers that would put you to sleep

Mr. Rox, you are wrong about me yet again. I loved his pop music in the 70's and 80's. I don't like his so called theatre music and it was the score for "Lestat" that lulled many to sleep. I have seen Elton John in concert twice in my lifetime.
I stand corrected but still disagree on Lestat
Im going to try and go Thursday night ( i believe there's a show).....I think it's probably worth seeing...and I pray to God Carolee shocks everyone and takes home the tony...
Hmmm. Well, as most people are saying- I'm not at all surprised. I guess since the producers realized they wouldn't be getting ANY help from the Tony Awards, they decided to slip quietly in to the night...

Wow, I didn't think the show would last very long, but I didn't think it'd close so soon! I feel bad for the actors. Perhaps Hugh will return to Phantom whenever Howard decides to leave!
G, not every actor can pick and choose jobs. Some will take a mediocre one because they'd rather be happy and acting than poor and waitressing.
Lestat.
Died Young. Most Likely to stay dead.
Glad I picked up a ticket for tom night from TDF.
I travel to NYC once or twice a year and have tickets for Sunday's show (which I purchased back in October/November).
Seats N 101-109. Say Hi if you are there.
Also, here is a funny coincidence. A few years back I made a similar trip and had tickets to "Dance of the Vampires" which also turned out to be its last performance.

I am going to miss Carolee a lot!
Steve2, stop seeing vampire shows!
