If you need to see more vampire musicals, please by your tickets closer to the start of the run. That way, the last performance will come much faster.

Roxy is right, it's all the critics fault. Each fantastic vampire musical has been more superb than the one before. Audiences would have lapped them up at a hundred bucks a pop were it not for the hypnotic spell of the critics, who somehow managed to actually prevent people who had every intention of seeing these incredible works until the critics did their voodoo upon them. Fortunately, we have next season's "Nosfertu Cristina," a choreotonepoem by Michael John LaChialasoapsosousa to look foward to. This one is a can't miss.

wow oh wow...such a talented cast...there will be tons of other shows for them so it won't be a problem. I know Carolee has upcoming things on her plate!
I'm glad I got to see it. I didn't think it was terrible. I didn't think it was very good...but still. The performances were fantastic. I wish all the luck to the cast and crew!
Anyone else wanna see Allison Fischer as Eponine in Les Mis?
Yes, but not in the immediate future.
Someone said "Don't expect Warner Bros. to come back to Broadway any time soon." As Roxy Hart would say, "Are you kidding?" Producing a Boradway show is actually MUCH better odds than their main business, movies. A film can costy 250 million dollars now (Posideon) plust another 30 million for advertising. And when you have a massive flop like that sunken boat, entire regiemes can fall. The most expensive musical costs about what it costs to rent the cameras for a film nowadays, so they'll be back. If they spend the cost of ONE film on Broadway, they have ten chances to succeed. And it only takes one to turn on a pretty good spiggott. I thinks they'll be back again.

This is sad. I'm kind of shocked they didn't hold out until June and July to see if the summer picked things up for them.
But I wish the best to the incredibly talented cast.
Why do we feel bad for the cast? Because they have worked incredibly hard on a show that is written terribly and made it something enjoyable because THEY are so talented. It's a hard thing to pull off. And it isn't always that easy to just...get another job. As an actor you can't afford to pick and choose and not take a show simply because they read the script before they signed on (which isn't necessarily true, by the way - and it was completely re-written after San Francisco anyway). WHO would turn down a new Elton John show, produced by Warner Brothers if that's all that you knew about it before hand? It would sound like a sure-fire hit and a long running job providing financial security and a lot of fun as well. This has got to be hard for them all, investing in something they went into believe would be a long running job for once in such an unsteady business.
And on top of all of that, this is one of the worst times of the year to be out of work as an actor because everything is pretty much cast by now and auditions don't pick back up again until August/September.
Anyway, BEST OF LUCK TO YOU ALL!! You are in our thoughts!!
It's sad to see this show closing so soon! It wasn't the best show, but i enjoyed the great performances.

batboy just hit the nail on the head - the cast is incredibly talented, regardless of what people think about the show itself. These people have families to take care of, of course they took the work for what seemed to be a potentially successful musical - my heart goes out to them. They poured so much into the show and it was evident on stage.
Warner Brothers is crazy to close it before the summer when a good majority of their target audience will finally be out of high school and college. I've got several very upset friends that already had tickets that will never get to see it now, and for those fans that did enjoy it, Warner Brothers has probably alienated several of them from ever getting invested in one of their shows again. I know I'm certainly one of them.
Define "spiggott"lease.
What a lovely word!
It was inevitable. It was just a bad show with a great cast.
Just walked by on lunch break and snagged a ticket for tonight. I'd told myself I wasn't going to see it but the closing notice plus the lure of the Carolee sucked me in.
21.25 for front and center mezz (with my friend who has a student ID) - you almost can't argue with that.
I just went there on my lunch break too...to buy my ticket for Sunday.

I can't even believe this horror of a show even made it to Broadway. Seriously, with all the reviews and word of mouth and everything, how could they even bring it to Broadway? It's sad when people loose jobs true...but it never had any business being in NYC.

Great Performances? or Great Performers? There is a difference. Although I think Carolee, Hugh, etc. are great performers, I don't think there were any great performances in the production.
Everything about the show was horridly atrocious.
I am excited to see these performers in more worthy vehicles.

I think that the story of Lestat is a beautiful one. And I really believe that it should make a great musical. Hopefully one day, someone will do this story justice.
I am going tomorrow Night! Even though it is a school nigh and I won't be hometill around midnight, I don't care! I am getting my tix today!

When I saw it was closing on ShowBiz Tonight, last night. I laughed, is that bad?

I just came back from a matinee. I am SHOCKED.
I liked it. It was not a great show but I was entertained.
Go see it this weekend. It is a very entertaining show.
It was the first Vampire show that did not SUCK.
(I am also not saying it is great, but it is very entertaining)
The performers are so talented. It was a great surprise!
It was better than so many other shows that lasted a lot longer.
(Festen, BKLYN, Dracula)
Hugh Panaro, CC and the entire cast have incredible voices. CC blew me away. I wish they would bring back KISS ME KATE and put her back on Broadway where she belongs. CC is a gifted performer!
I hope they revive Kiss Me Kate and put it into the PALACE.
