Posted: 7/29/13 at 11:48pmI didn't find that kind of audience behavior reprehensible at this kind of show… The band themselves, if you can call them a band, repeatedly asked the audience to get out of their chairs and to sing along. They clearly want a concert setting, and they're getting one, cameras and flashes and all.

Had a comp ticket to this, which is nice because I never would have paid money to see this. It was kind of boring but I thought the cast was incredibly talented and I was really impressed by Graham Alexander (who is the only person that I've ever seen whose looks were greatly improved by adding a ****ton of facial hair). The beginning was pretty dry and it felt like "Let It Be" was kind of halfassing it, but the second half was much more enjoyable. I liked the light work for some numbers a lot!
I have to agree it was incredibly bizarre how many people were taking pictures... People really seemed to be enjoying it though, it was kind of cute. I'm not much of a Beatles fan but I thought it was an okay night.

Actually, I too had a ticket to this show (thank goodness a comp ticket). I asked the ushers if photography was prohibited or not because it clearly says it in the Playbill. They said that at this performance, photography was allowed, as long as people weren't using tablets and iPads to take the pictures. I said it was strange and weird because everyone was so distracting and annoying, and they too agreed and said they felt out of place for not saying anything. I know a bunch of people were upset over this. But, now that I think of it, no one came over the loud speakers to remind everyone to turn off their phones and such...
Honestly, I think the show is just a fun time to spend an evening...that is all. Having not seen Rain though, this was way better than Strawberry Fields at B.B. Kings (and whatever they have in Atlantic City [Beatlemania]).
And a quick question to the Audience Rewards members: how much money did you spend per ticket to get the points and the bonus points. Because this couple behind me was talking (very loudly) about how this show would be super great and super beneficial because of the extra points they got to use towards other shows.

Posted: 8/4/13 at 10:57pmI saw Let It Be tonight because I got a good deal on tickets, and my friend and I really had a blast. It's very well done for the most part, with solid singing and musicianship. The lighting work and the costuming are also terrific. My beef is that the show didn't hire real string and horn players and relied instead on a synth. The Beatles tribute band the Fab Faux uses string and horn sections, and it's great to hear. Let It Be is definitely a very enjoyable evening for the casual Beatles fan.
