....posting multiple threads with spoilers in the titles tomorrow night.

I'll be watching The Sopranos and taping (what's sure to be) one of the dullest Tony shows in recent memory.

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I don't want to come online and immediately find out that so-and-so won before I watch the show.

Please? Can we do that, please?

Everyone was pretty well behaved during the Drama Desks, weren't they? Hopefully we can keep everything in one thread again...

Call the understudy / I can't go on tonight / I'm drinking with my buddy / I'm getting good and tight / Before they raise the curtain I'll be higher than a kite / So call the understudy I can't go on tonight

Good idea.

I think it'll be best if the tony's arent posted about tomorrow night at all regarding wins or losses.

I'm not even coming online until after I watch the Tonys. And it will be one of the dullest in recent memory. It will be just as bad as last years...

Wow...nothing like a true theatre fan saying, that this is sure to be one of the "dullest Tony shows in recent memory."

I'm throwin a huge party, and CANNOT WAIT! Good, Bad, or Somehwere in the middle. It's the TONY Awards for christ sake. The gayest, most celebrated night of the Theatrical Community across America, and I can't wait to be a part of it!

You aren't going to be online NLS? That's where the fun is!

I can't even come on three hours before the Tonys air here. :/

I'm so excited, though!

And then Connick Jr-apparently high on tylenol-begins to sing by himself to welcome 60 people to present the awards-most of the presenters are not Tony winners themselves, but it is the number that counts...

I was just watching last years again today (last time before I delete it from my DVR forever) and it's mean, but Harry Connick Jr. looked like he had Parkisons while singing that first song.

I agree, let's try to keep it to one thread. We managed that with the Drama Desks.

Connick had injured himself pretty badly towards the end of the run. It was very visible in his performance at the awards and, if memory serves, you could see the pain in his face when they did the category close-ups.

Why do you say that? I think it will be much more entertaining than last year, given the performances...

Yank, just don't come online until you watch it. I mean, honestly, how many thousands of people post on this board? One of them is sure to post a spoiler title. It's not like a Broadway show where people are going to be seeing it at different times during its run. This is a TV show. It's on once. And it is going to be the #1 topic discussed on this board all year. Besides, the winners are going to be in the headlines on the site as well.

Try going onto the Sopranos Message Board and tell people not to post spoilers because you're going to be watching the Tony Awards. It goes both ways. Though over there you may get shot. :P

Let's refrain from printing and reprinting a line from a review you found amusing at other peoples expense.
I intend to spoil every surprise (there will be very few)
What a boring show it will be without those glorious PIRATE QUEEN costumes.

I'm excited because (in my mind at least) there could be some upsets, although I'm pretty sure the "big" awards are going to be pretty obvious. I just enjoy seeing my favorite theater people not in character. It's kinda cool.

Oh come on. Is it that hard to not come on this forum until you've watched your tape? if you already think they're gonna be so dull why even care?

Yankeefan007,
I'm sure that tomorrow's Tony Award Broadcast will not be as boring as the 2005 Tony Award Broadcast......remember Hugh Jackman and Aretha Franklin singing "Somewhere"!?!?!?!?!?

Everyone complains about how boring the Tony's will be EVERY SINGLE YEAR no matter what! WHAT IS THAT ABOUT? You guys who say it's boring are just as interested as all the rest of us. Stop with the been there, done that attitude. It's ok to admit you are looking forward to the high holy day, just like the rest of us! Sheesh.

Yeah, nothing selfish about demanding thousands of other people conform to your demands instead of you just staying off BWW until you watch.

It's TV. If it's aired EST, it's no longer a spoiler. Stay offline if you don't want to find out.

Don't want to beat a dead horse, but last year when I couldn't watch it live, I made a point to not get online untill I had. Granted, I had rehearsal during the awards and started wathcing them as soon as I got home, but still.

I'd be more worried about spoilers, actually, if you were doing it the other way around. I've personally never seen The Sopranos (didn't have HBO for years, but I know I need to get on the DVDs), but I know I'll hear about what happens at the end by Monday night. The same thing happened a few years ago when the season finale of The Sopranos was also on Tony night - I knew by the next night that the one girl got whacked, and again, I've never even seen an episode.

That's pretty much the reason why I'm watching Sopranos....cause I know tomorrow morning the end will be on the cover of all the NY papers.

Foster - you are correct, as well.

orangeskittles - funny, I don't recall having a demanding tone in my post at all. In fact, I even said "please." Multiple times.

CurtainPullDowner - you have my blessing to be as annoying as humanly possible.

Some people really need to get their attitudes in check here. Especially over a thread like this one. Hate to break it to you, but the show is going to be boring. It needs some kind of spectacle. The Spring Awakening cast performing Totally Bleeped will end up giving off the same impression as Sweeney Todd did last year, and Assassins a few years before that. Curtains, Chorus Line, and Mary Poppins have the right idea this year, IMO.

But the question is: what pisses you people off more: my predicting that the show's gonna be boring or my asking people to try and not post multiple spoiler threads? Seems like a tie, now. Updated On: 6/10/07 at 09:22 AM
