"take pleasure in the fact that your ever increasing annoying personality and disrespectufl attitude on this message board..."
Now there's a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

There are thousands and thousands of shows out there that have so much more to offer to everyone. Not saying that G, M, or H are bad shows. Like each and every one of them...but I agree with bulldog how sometimes we go a little overboard. If you think a topic might have been discussed before do a search. You will find the thread and you can comment on it instead of starting a new one every three days or so.

Exactly! So tell us about some of your favorites instead of just telling us there are so many other great musicals out there!
Here's a novel idea kiddies...

Why are the adults on this board so damn rude? Please do NOT call us kiddies!
DOFB5, A Little Night Music bored me to tears in the theater. The recording has made it grow on me.
It is based on an Ingmar Bergman film SMILES OF A SUMMER NIGHT. The plot of the musical is essentially an actress and her mother and her exhusband and his new wife and other relations acting foolish and the repercussions from that, as they all gather for A Weekend in the Country (the rousing act one closer.) Sondheim said of A Weekend in the Country..that he finally figured out how to write a showtune that people whistled at intermission. "Simply repeat and repeat the same thing a thousand times till the curtain comes down and the audience will find the tune memorable."
BwayTheatre11 is right. We are not kids. We are teenagers interested in the theater. We already know a lot about it, but we'd like to learn from those who have been around longer. I love hearing about performances some of the elder members of the board have seen that I haven't and would have liked to. If there are certain things we don't know, should we not be allowed to ask? This board is supposedly a friendly environment, but instead, I find some of the older board members don't think much of the younger members. I think we've proved that we're mature and we do know a lot, so stop shutting us down when we ask questions, and stop insulting us by calling us kiddies.
BillyLawlor, you are simply, divine.

You know, I suppose I could take exception to the fact that I become “Darling” whenever certain gentlemen on this board answer me regarding certain issues. Pat her on the head, call her “Darling” i.e. the equivalent of a long suffering “Yes, Dear”and she’ll quiet down. For sake of argument, I will let that issue pass.
Bulldog, I don’t have a problem or issue with you stating your opinion. In some ways, I agree with you. If it’s variety you crave, then lead the way! I see you started “A Little Night Music” thread and that’s a step in right direction. Good for you! Let’s hope it’s the first of many threads I hope to read, LEARN from and ENJOY!
Thank you, TOT for answering my question about what "A Little Night Music" is about.

Billy Lawlor should be the "kiddies" spokesperson, I think. He really hit all the points I was going to say.

I know it's just me, but I am finding the TOT compliments of Billy a little, well, creepy.
When this board first started up in May or June, it was great. Now it is starting to be eerily similar to the old Broadway.com.

So many ruffled feathers and beads because I used the word kiddies. Some of you are taking political correctness a bit too far, in my opinion. If being offended makes your day, please be my guest. To all the young adults...you have plenty of time ahead of you to get offended over what you perceive to be slights.
An interesting comparison is that grown men and women who are actually in the legitimate musical theatre don't get offended when they are referred to as "boys" and "girls" backstage on Broadway. That I suppose is the difference between professionals and amateurs.
Yours for a plain speaking Broadway!

Why in heaven's name would anyone come to any message board as a reliable source for any information on any subject? Obviously posters here have access to the internet. There's a great big world of theater knowledge out there. And it doesn't end or begin with just one web site. Point and click, explore, seek and find, or for really novel idea visit a library. The wealth of knowledge even in a small remote town's library is invaluable.
Gee, I'm Sorry. I remember something similar happened to another poster on the board, and now people are calling the both of us lazy. I suppose we could do that, etoile, but is there any harm in asking my fellow posters? I look at most of you as friends- am I not free to ask my friend what Mame is about- or anything about anything for that matter? If it pisses you off that much, than I'll shut up, and I won't ask questions. It just bothers me, how insulting people on here can be- it also bothers me how people but into issues that don't concern them.
